Australia Represent!

Been visiting this site for a few years now for random bits of information needed to do what i desire to my motorcycle. Finally decided to join today in order to view pictures just to find out what the part and model number is that i need to replace (its the left chain tensioning bolt). Pretty much exactly the same thing happened to me that happened to another site member, the locking nuts were not locked, backed their way off just enough for the end plate to get caught on the sprocket bolts and bend the tensioning bolt outwards at around a 30 degree angle.
I only came to realise this by the weird jangling noise coming from behind me after turning a corner (usually cant hear much over the exhaust),pulled over and got off to inspect the rear of the bike just in time to see the outer most locking nut was about a turn or 2 away from dropping off.
So i guess im lucky i got to save the plate and 2 nuts..
Pictures to come once im back on my desktop.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and pick your brains for information and knowledge, and share what ever i can =D

By the way, i live in Australia and own a 2010 250r with carbon yoshi. Its got some other things done to it too.. lol

Glad to be aboard from abroad!
Skimped on the photos due to going upstairs yesterday to pass out after being awake for 3 days so ill just pop out now to make a coffee and take some happy snaps.

Pretty damn happy with the ninja thus far, got her brand new with around 8km on the clock back in 2010 as my first bike after being stuck with a free scooter for a few months and becoming quite addicted to leaning the 'right' way through corners. Other than the chain tensioner bolt geting bent the only other real drastic problem i had with it was the automatic cam chain tensioner getting seized. After removing it to inspect for cleaning, i opted for a manual cam chain tensioner... pretty sure its an APE if i remember correctly. A much sexier and simple bit of kit, only a fraction of the weight and around a billion less moving parts. Took around 3 years before the stock tensioner failed, which im led to believe is pretty crappy.. Something about the stock automatic one being able to last the life of the engine?.. I just say its a testiment to how filthy the riding conditions are in Australia, only ever having taken her on one dirt road, totally by accident

Took me a while to find it back then, so if anyone is having trouble finding a copy just PM me your email address and ill send it as an attachment, i dont think it has any copyright T's & C's, it is educational after all But ill check just to make sure. Not sure if it has any fuel injection stuff in it as i have never had to look for it lol.
