Van Hits Motorcycle While it Performs a Wheelie

wonder if it was intentional? I understand stunts should be kept on a lot, but that doesn't justify hitting him, if he or she did it on purpose. cagers. smh.

some language (nsfw possibly)

There can be no justification for riding like that on the streets... He got what was coming to him...

His biggest mistake was actually not the wheelie, it was being so far off pace with the rest of traffic. He got hit by a passing vehicle, simple as that. Was he being dumb, sure. Did he deserve it? Naw... People just have little patience anymore.

I agree to an extent. I however don't believe it was an accident. It seemed malicious.

if some one is committing a illegal act that dose not violate any of your rights, nor harms you in any way then. you do not have the right nor the justification to commit attempted murder.

Did he deserve it, no, did he open himself up to it, you bet.

I have no problem when dumb asses have run-ins with each other.

I have no sympathy for the rider and I hope they get the driver for hit and run.

Dood... chill out. I assume you're marking everyones response here as negative. I see no attempted murder here. Watch it in slow-mo, it's a close pass gone wrong from a terd cager.

lolwut? the car tried to lanesplit and purpously hit him. The biker was taking the offramp, the car also wanted the offramp. Since when do cars lanesplit on offramps?

and after watching the video a good 5more times, the cager is the type of person to wait till the last second to decide whether or not they want the offramp or not. GG

The problem here is that we do not know what the driver was thinking / doing. Perhaps they have had this rider terrorising their street with his antics, endangering their children, waking them up in the middle of the night, and passing them in traffic dangerously. Perhaps they were just sick of bike riders pulling this s**t and decided to do a close passing fly by on the rider to scare him a little, and it went horribly wrong. We just don't know.

I am sick of the use of the term "cager" in a bigoted fashion.

Maybe yourself into eternity...I can't stand that ****!

It doesn't matter wtf the van was thinking, or previously experienced...pull some **** like that and it should be attempted manslaughter.

from what i can tell there are two main options for what the driver in the vehicle was thinking

1) unaware. should be cited for reckless endangerment and attempted vehicular manslaughter 2. because their actions were completely unsafe and could have easily caused death due to negligence regardless of other circumstances (doing a wheelie or whatever)

2) intentional. this is called attempted murder. if they had seen that bike before it could be murder 2. or manslaughter 1. (caught in the heat of the moment) it would only be murder 1 (premeditated) if they went out specifically looking for that guy and had a plan to hit him. anyway, regardless of why you want to murder that person, attempting to run someone over with a vehicle is precisely that. attempted murder.

He could've done a last minute lane change and not even seen he bike or the bike and his "gang" may have been holding up traffic earlier on. Either ways sucks for the rider and maybe he learned to not do stupid **** so next time he can avoid potential dangers.

Even if wheelies on public roads were perfectly legal the rider would STILL have to take some responsibility. His own ability to see and react to the van was diminished by being focused on the wheelie.
