Just remember we have a very strict wheelie law in Florida.

$1,000 1st offense, $2,500 second offense with jail time a possibility, $5,000 for third offense and prison very possible.

After the third one I think they suspend your license for a LONG time too.

I wouldn't put it past a cop to ticket someone else for just riding with people doing wheelies or at least try to.

And they do. A friend of mine spent 3 days in jail because of his stunta friends running from the cops. He just happened to be in the wrong place and the wrong time. When your bike looks like one of the others, the cop may not spot the differences between you and them and even so, you could be guilty by association.

Ouch that's not good, glad I don't do wheelies or anything illegal! I heard that the guy on the blue bike had a radar detector and was taking it easy on main roads. Wheelie tickets are bad news I know a person who got one earlier this year on his R1 accidentally popping it up a couple inches from slipping the clutch like 2 days after he got the bike...

You don't have to, just ride along with them while they do them and you'll still get slammed by the police if they're feeling extra nice that day. Also radar detectors are a joke, all they do at best is prepare you to get pulled over or to tell you to start running because once it goes off they already have your speed. Just because someone isn't radaring him doesn't mean there isn't a cop nearby or a citizen who won't call the police for reckless driving.

I'm not trying to discipline YOU, more them really because if they want to do wheelies and stuff they should find an abandoned parking lot with lots of room. They won't bother anybody and nobody will really bother them. My point is your "friend of a friend" needs a reality check.

Some police are tricky an stick the detectors on standby... It doesn't beep till its to late for you to do anything (that's one good thing I got from being in the POLICE company )... Wow I wanna ride down roads over 100 mph with wheelie dude... Lemme borrow that silver bike

If that person was me I wouldn't be too worried about it at certain spots that I was familiar with and looking out for traffic etc. However doing wheelies at 80mph+ in a t-shirt is stupid and I would not want to attempt that, but watching seems like it could be fun.
