Nope. Only way to get on the ballot is via sufficient posts. Only way to win (generally) is for people to be entertained/amused/informed by those posts.

I do believe that this is the best method. Generally speaking, if you're in the top 10 for posts and havent been banned, you're helping somewhere and will probably receive at least one person's vote. There's an interesting question. Has anyone ever made the ballot and received no votes?

As a new guy, this has been an entertaining read.

I think a better way to do this would be to get a script that counts posts and then does a 10x 'helpful posts' to that number.

I would like to think that those with enough posts to flag a post as helpful would not abuse that power. But I'd probably be wrong, huh?
