Never too cold to ride

I rode today. It was cold but I manged. I think I should have worn pants instead of shorts though. I only went to the gym and back but it's still considered riding.

Ugh I feel your pain. Sorry you had to don the jacket. I'm sure your fingers hurt crazy bad by the time you got to the gym. Have one of the other guys in the locker room warm them up for you?

Put about 70 miles on the ninjette today. 48F and spectacular sunshine! Left the electric vest and gloves at home. Gread day for a ride!

Haha. I stalled on getting my ECU recalled, so I didn't make it to my shop until September. That was a cold ride, 45-50 degrees out.

A dark morning commute at 35 degrees is my coldest commute to date. I've ridden in colder weather than that up in the mountains, but I prepare for that and am wearing cold weather Under Armor. Those morning commutes are brutal to the fingers! Every where else, I can layer. But my fingers hurt like HELL in that kind of cold!

If you are riding "with the wind" is the wind chill factor zero?

It was -7F here this morning (hooray for warmer mornings!) and the high is supposed to +1F on Sunday.

considering the location I don't believe so. probably is factoring in wind chill though.

If you ride with the wind you probably would be even colder, its actually just a slight breeze making the windchill right now. So 60mph would be even worse basically creating your own wind.

I got caught outside after sunset during a cold snap here in WA. 14*f in the picture w/no wind chill. I had to stop every couple of minutes and put my hands on the engine to warm them back up.
