Good news. Her insurance company said they/she was fully liable!
... If a driver hits an immobile object, I sure hope the driver is liable. :P |

Glad to hear it. I didn't file a police report for my car accident and they guy who admitted fault changed his story. I ended up paying $900 for my baby, and everything still wasn't perfect.

An update: I'm steadily leaking coolant from the left side of my radiator, my lower fairing looks like a bucket of coolant. The fan doesn't seem to work either. The left and right frame mounts for the rearsets are definitely bent.
On a similar note, insurance keeps postponing their estimate estimate. Her insurance said they'd give call on Monday or Tuesday, and you're closed Mondays. And more good news, I'm riding down to Vancouver, Wa on Friday for a bachelor part I'm the best man of. |

Coolant isn't supposed to be leaking and bubbling out of the radiator, is it?

Its not supposed to do that.
Are your forks bent so bad that the tire/fender impact your radiator.

My forks aren't bent in the least. If you look on the right side of the picture, you can see it rippled/bent forward like there was an impact with the ground on that side. Which there was. Pretty sure the fall impacted the radiator from the bike's left side, bent it forward, which then cracked the middle in addition to the side where it impacted.

Seriously. My footpeg punctured her bumper and she had a dent from the rear brake lever; so she obviously "just bumped it".

Well.
I tried Bar's Leak in my radiator. Rode her come at 6k+ RPM the 10 miles home. Parked in my driveway. Looked like my bike had been pregnant. Tons of coolant on the ground. I turned off the engine to hear bubbling coolant. Pulled off the side panel. The coolant reservoir was bubbling out the overflow line. Today I learned, Bar's leaks can cause other issues. Good news is, I know the fan comes on eventually. I got a radiator, Bar's was one last attempt to save myself labor of replacing radiator. |

Well, replaced my radiator. Bike's temps were 12-1 o'clock pre-incident; and now are ~10 o'clock. I guess replacing or cleaning almost every hose and tube paid off?

I wouldn't have been too surprised if they tried to total the bike.... would have been interesting to see how she reacted to that.
Hope it isn't too tricky continuing to work with her.... at the job I mean.

Radiator fins were probably clogged from years of riding

I haven't interacted with her since the incident. I have a full time job with that part time, and full time is becoming more involved/being promoted so I won't be there much longer.
Yeah, fins must have been abused; which fits with the previous owner quite well. They did so much damage to everything on my bike. Such horrible care was taken of my girl She's almost fixed, just a few broken off bolts and fairing damage left. |

Well, I have to say that I learned from your experience. I guess it's like assuming you weren't hurt after a minor traffic accident, only to find out later your neck is jacked.
Glad she's almost back to normal (bike).

They already paid you $1100 thinking that was it, then they were on the hook for the next draw of $700, heck if you find more keep submitting.
