Talking Terrorizing the streets on my itty bitty scooter!

Heya folks! Now that my ninja is hurt and recuperating (read all about it "here" ), I had to have my fix for aggressive riding somehow and this is how I pulled it off!
Enjoy

nice! i've thought about picking one up for rush hour traffic here in the city... i commute to cambridge, and they allow scooters (not motorcycles) to use the bike lanes... it'd be a GREAT way to get out of rush hour traffic.

and not to mention their economy...I get an average of 100mpgs on my spree! ...and for some inexplicable reason, I catch a lot of looks from the chicks on her than I do on my ninjette...go figure

ahahahaha that was...AWESOME! I'm really digging the 1 piece..makes me really want one. I just need to find one that fits short people.

I was considering getting a scooter for town riding, but unless the gas price goes up to like, 5 or 6 bucks, i dont think id get one. Ninja gets good enough mpg for me! Glad you have a 2 wheeled backup though!

Thanks bro!! You shouldn't have any problem getting a suit, I'm short as well (5'7'') and I found one easy enough. (the suit makes me feel invincible lol)

I count myself very lucky, my octogenarian neighbor was cleaning his garage one day and I offered a hand...long story short, he happened to have (and forget that he had lol) a mint condition 1984 honda spree with only 70 miles . Paid $700 and fell in love with motorcycling, been hooked ever since.

Sounds like a deal! I'm thinking either a Ruckus or a Metropolitan, but I'll probably wait until I move next year. The Mets seem to be on craigslist pretty regularly for under $1500.

Yeah, Go Honda! (Only time you'll hear me say so lol)...and the zuma is also pretty cool as well. Don't know how much they're going for but the chinese replicas have inundated the market here...I assume they are dirt cheap, but surely won't last long

I see a lot and I mean a lot of the chinese scooters around. I can't imagine them being that much cheaper than a clean lightly used Honda. I was just looking on Honda's website and the new Mets are fuel injected.

Air cooled 2-stroke single cylinder displacing 49 cubic centimeters were simple, strong and wonderful engines.

30 mph never looked so cool!!!

Thanks for the tour around Campus.

Actually I top out at 45 (my speedo does anyway), never tried to get a gps fix, but I'm sure I do 40 easy...with bored out cylinders and open flow intake, they can be made to do 50 or more (but lose acceleration)...but yeah,no denying they're fun!

Nice vid.... I've been thinking about getting a scooter also to commute from the house to the public transit station where I catch the bus in the morning to work..

I'd ride my 250 to the station, but I'm afraid some dill-wad would screw around with it while it was parked there...

I think you should see if you can get the campus cops to chase you around campus and video that

Funny you should ask, because I HAVE lowsided my scooty before. Read about it here . That time it was due to wet conditions, if I had gone down, speeding around corners at 30-40mph,...It would certainly have left a mark, if not on me, then on my leathers. I was pushing it, hanging off the scooter like that with nothing to hold on to but the handlebars, but it was hella fun!
