me: "no, I'm actually going to be driving my car that's parked right here while wearing a helmet and leathers"
dude: "oh, that doesn't make sense."
me: "no, it doesn't make sense, does it?"

Then he went inside.

After riding some canyons, I went with my buddy to drop off his bike for service. Chatted up with some chick that worked there....she then asked why I decided to start on a 250 instead of a 600 in a condescending tone. No matter how hot a saleswoman is, I won't fall for their tricks, lol.

My brother likes to make fun of the fact that my bike sounds as small as it is. One day, I went to his house and he didn't realize I was there until I walked in. He said he heard my coming, but he honestly thought that his neighbor was mowing. I couldn't even be mad. It was funny.

Aside from all the typical "hey man, nice bike!" screams I hear from people around town, I've had a real gem or two. My favorite was the chick that walked over to me in a parking lot at a gas station. I'll start by saying that she was cute and walking my way, so I thought maybe something was wrong. lol She walked up and said "nice bike!" and I expected to say "thanks!" and be on my way, but she had to ask questions. Of course, she had to ask the ever-so-important "is it fast?" Sometimes I'll just say "it's fast enough" and leave it at that, but this time I laughed and said "uhh...it's a 250". To my delight, she responded with "oh, so that's pretty fast, right?" I was able to get away with "yeah, it's not too bad", avoiding a straightforward answer while sounding all tough and impressing her. haha

In all honesty, I have a fiancée and very little reason to care what other chicks think of me, but no guy will ever turn down a little boost of the ol' ego. I rode away thinking to myself "f*** yeah! I'm a cool kid now" hahaha

I was parking at the mall here, and as I was taking off my helmet, some guy and his son came running (sprinting, actually) over while flailing his arms all over. When he finally caught his breath, he asked me if he could take it for a ride with his son down the road and back. I told him, in no uncertain terms, EXACTLY what I thought of that idea.

-On a side note, my wife and I went to a motorcycle show/swap meet that was at a local fair today. As we were leaving, I saw a couple guys standing next to harleys. They were all decked out in Sons of Anarchy logos. They had SoA T-shirts and the patches on the back of their leather were identical to the ones on the TV show. They all had the weirdest expressions on their faces, which I guess, were supposed to look cool. Also, saw a bunch of other people in leather with cheesy-a** logos that even had the 1%er patch. We were laughing our a**es off.

-EDIT- I thought I'd add, I'm in NORTHERN Michigan. We are like a 10 hour drive from ANY real 1%er MCs.

I read a bunch of stuff on that. They also don't like to see the 3 part patch. I guess it signifies outlaw MC too. I don't care much, though. They can learn on their own.

Dumb redneck fratboy in the middle of the night asked me where midtown was and I told him how to get there. Then he proceeds to nag at me about if I can give him a ride.

I just told him I'm under 21 and I can't take him unless he has a helmet. I wouldn't be surprised if he's shopping for helmets now.

Hmmm...looks like boozefighters elsewhere aren't as hardcore as the guys around here. Most of them appear to be a fairly typical MC. The chapter in central Indiana operates more like a gang.

So I'm sitting at Krystals having dinner and one of the employees brings my food out. He says "hey that's a nice helmet, mine is black and I have a white bike, we should trade." For those of you that don't know I have a black bike and a white helmet. So I say "cool, whatcha got?" So he says "oh its an old Scorpion, hey we should trade bikes too."

First of all, no. I'm not going to trade my $800 Arai for your Scorpion. Secondly, your 1995 Katana with trashed fairings is not worth the same as my 09 Ninja. Lastly, get some more teeth.

These were thoughts and did not come out of my mouth. I simply said "I don't think you'd like my bike, its pretty slow."

Some guy the other day yelled something at me... i had just started my bike so i couldnt hear what he said..... i looked back after ignoring him and i pulled out if the parking and he was just looking at me and snickering till i was able to pull onto the road.... i wanted to go back and beat him within an inch of his life but cooler heads prevailed and now i just think about how lucky i am to not be in jail for man slaughter....

rode into the school lot and as i was unstrapping my knee armor, dude pulled in beside me on a ninja 500 and as we were talking gear(his lack of) and the hot weather he suddenly goes like "o yea, u need to protect yourself cos your got a very fast bike" when i told him it was a 250,his eyes almost popped out of his head

I actually have a habit of taking my mountain bike and riding like a hooligan around town. There's some long gradual hills into town on both sides where I can actually pass traffic on the yellow line

(as long as there's no one coming in the opposite direction)

and then I cut into the sidewalk and hop curbs and all that fun stuff to get across town faster than the cars. Someone get me a supermoto @Jono
