08+ Ninja 250 Flywheel Puller Questions
Why does the manual list 2 components... should be only 1, either M35x1.5 or M38x1.5
Special Tool - Flywheel Puller Assembly, M38 × 1.5/M35 × 1.5: 57001-1405 Edit : Racer X has been kind enough to check his tool and get me the measurements.

OK .. I found it in the book on page 16-26 I think the factory tool has two thread sizes. 38 and 35. Both have a 1.50 thread pitch. But for the. 250 ninja you only need the 35x1.50 size to remove your flywheel.

Thanks Eric .... Mind measuring the depth? Do the 35x1.5 work for 2nd Gen (2007 and earlier as well?)
MotionPro has 2 options for the 35x1.5 and the one with depth of 75mm is listed for 2007 and earlier Ninja.

MP has a 1 inch and 3 in depth.
The picture in the FSM has a 3 inch depth so that's what I went with.

Am i doing something wrong? With the 3" depth [75mm] MP one, the inner bolt is seated all the way in with no threads visible. How are you supposed to turn?
@cuong-nutz - were you referring to a pre-gen Ninja 250?

I still had like an inch or so of thread depth left. I can take a look when I get home. Maybe @Racer x, or @mgentz can comment

that would be helpful. The inner bolt length (end-to-end) is 87mm for me.

Thats what i have from MP. Also, do the inner bolt need to thread to crankshaft OR just rest on crankshaft end/tip?

Just to be clear, the inner bolt just rests on the crank end, correct? But then i have no threads left once i screw in the inner bolt all the way thru.
Either the outer barrel is longer OR the inner bolt is shorter. I did bolt back the crankshaft bolt and left it a bit loose {that way the inner bolt of the puller will show threads}. Hit with the hammer couple of times, took the impact, yet no movement on the flywheel. Dont know how much should i hit in order to not mess the crankshaft bolt threads.

I need to look later today. Is it better to push on a bolt loosely threaded into the crank or the tip of the crank? It takes a lot of force to pull the flywheel. I don't want the crank tip or threads damaged.

The puller I used is MP 08-0349. It doesn't thread into the crank bolt. I just looked at MP website and it's listed for the older 250s. 75mm of thread inner bolt.
End of inner bolt sits on the face of the crank snout.

You could try putting a small 1/4 inch drive socket under that bolt so it can put pressure against the crank.

With help of my friend @KazMan i was able to get it out. We had to apply some heat. The crank bolt was threaded in place for the inner bolt to rest on.
Thanks everyone for your inputs! , specially @Racer x

I am wondering what the OEM flywheel puller looks like? Does anyone have a flywheel puller to measure the outer barrel? MP is 75mm long.
