Race EX250 with RS125 bodywork

I make my own bodywork and didn't want to make molds for the EX250. Just to much work... So I modified some Honda RS125 bodywork to fit(have the molds for that). I had to make some mounts and modify the belly pan a bunch lol.

I split the RS125 bellypan and used cardboard, hot glue and aluminum tape to make the form of the added area needed.

Made some mounts from metal fuel line for the upper corners. I just used a hammer to make the flat mount points. A composite forward mount with reliefs to break away in case of a forward impact.

Making the molds for the tail in the next few weeks.

And how it is so far. Waiting on the clipons (mounting under the upper triple.I think I'm going to sell the fancy slipon, no point in screwing it up on the track.

I'm racing this bike with WERA that has no bodywork restrictions.

I'm pretty sure that for the Superstock class, you have to run "exact replica" bodywork. I think it's awesome what you are making and wouldn't have issue with but the tech guys might... or the sometimes-overly-sensitive-types might...

BTW, were you at Barber in the spring with STT? from what it looks like in your avatar, I think I remember your bike there.

bodywork has restrictions for ESS in WERA,but I'm sure I could only run the bodywork in WERA and moto series.
From WERA rule book.
E SUPERSTOCK EXPERT & NOVICE

200-250cc 4-stroke air and water-cooled twins

200-250cc 4-stroke air and water-cooled singles

*No bodywork restrictions.

*No engine modifications allowed

*All bikes may upgrade to 17” wheels so long as they do not weigh less than the stock wheels for that model.

*Kickstand mounts may be cut off of frame.

I was at Barber in March with 3 others on out first trip to the place. We had a blast, what an awesome track.

These are sick

Would you consider making an upper and lower that would fit a 300 that I would pay for?
