Question Want to buy R6 but...

...I haven't crashed yet. Can I still buy one, or do I have to crash first? If I have to crash first, can it be on purpose or does that not count?

you can buy an R6 any time you want, but if you want to upgrade to an R6 you have to crash first

instructions:

in first gear, sitting on the passenger seat or as far back as you can, go wide open throttle... once it starts bouncing on the rev limiter dump the clutch. caution: do not aim at self.

Tell you what. You can have my R6. I've crashed, but unless I win the lotto or have a serious lapse in judgement, I'm not buying one. Take mine! I crash, you profit.

On that thought, can we start awarding R6 credits in crash threads instead of marking posts as helpful? Crash thread with the most R6 credits has to buy one.

I like that idea. The more epic the crash, the more points awarded!

Might not be a bad idea to learn how to low-side correctly before getting flipped on an R6..

You can buy an r6 now if you want. HOWEVER, you need to wait until you crash to buy an r1.

It doesn't matter. I believe that the "first 6 months of riding" rule gets reapplied every time you get a new bike.

this also applies the first 2 weeks after the winter thaw, I'm noob-tastic making the muscles "learn" again after snoozing all winter long.

You can lay her down but only if you slide under the trailer of an 18 wheeler. Don't die.
