but seriously, what are you riding?

I'm jelly over your backyard. Turn a chunk of that into a mini MX course.

I am riding one of these. United Motor UM 200 Dual sport. It totally sucks but was free, so I am not complaining one bit.

I am still on the hunt for a nice thumper to play around on or something I can sumo out for street use. But nothing has come up in my budget and all my "extra" lol... money is earmarked for racing this season.

I thought about getting a bobcat back in there and making some jumps and such but not likely to happen any time soon.

Dont kid yourself, that thing is awesome! Looks like it is in great condition to. I love the small 4stroke dual sports, and trail type dirtbikes motorcycles. They are easy to ride and very nimble and suspension is generally really soft which is perfect for slow trail riding. I often have more fun on my wifes little KLX125 than i do on my yz250. Riding the little bike doesn't require as much concentration and is always a blast, where as things can get really hairy in a hurry on some of the larger MX bikes.

I would kill for a bobcat, ohh the things i would do

I wish the bike in the pic was mine. My free one came to me in boxes with a locked engine (rust from missing spark plug). I worked on it all winter here and there, new chain, oil, plug other odds and ends. Striped all the bodywork off, ignition delete (kickstart only now ) and spent a lot of time getting the engine turning freely. No lights and the can is held on by a wire clothes hanger in true KY fixin' style. It's truly a POS but it's mine and fun none the less.

Oh and you should see the rickety 3 story tree house we got a start on from decking boards from the deck I tore off the back of my house to make room for the pool. OMG if we live through the summer it will be a miracle. I will get some pics when the light is better.

Wastin' Time

This is what it's all about. Just wastin' time with my daughter in da woods.

Vid was taken with one of the little 808 keychain cams with a vecro mount on the fender. Imho, both the video and audio is horrible at speed. Once I slow down, the video is barely "acceptable". Imma try different mounting to minimize the vibration and some tape/foam over the mic to try to clean up the audio.

Once again... enjoy wastin' some time in my backyard ya'lls.

Now I don't feel so bad about the audio on my videos lol...

I'm jealous of your back yard. A couple years ago I took I-75 from Knoxville to Indianapolis. I kept seeing little side roads going off into the woods. Your place is what I hoped would have been out there. That whole region is beautiful.

I recently had a taste of what it feels like to lose traction (once during a left turn at an intersection when I could feel the back tire starting to come around just a bit under acceleration on some slippery pavement and again hitting a small patch of sand around a very slow (15mph or so) right bend where I felt the front lose/regain traction just as the rear lost/regained traction). I found it to be fun. Now I want to get a dirt bike or dual sport so I can practice sliding the back around a bit more in a slower paced/no traffic environment on some off road trails like that.

You're video title says 4/1/10 so just when was this taken?

Though I do like the fact that Northern Kentucky seems to be the land of the midnight sun....

Slight rain today. As long as it don't get to wet, should be a good day to finish cuttin' in that really tight trail near the end of the video without rutting it too bad or getting super muddy.

Lol!! Great idea, it's on! I am thinking a EOS bonfire and ya'lls invited. Chrome wheels, custom paint and extended swingarms need not apply, knobbies and mud flaps required. Bring a covered dish, some WD-40 and some patch kits.

I am working up the video from yesterday. Hint: Dora the Explorer, thanks for the edit idea Singh2jz
