Greetings from Spain!

Hey everyone, been lurking these forums for a while so I figured I'd finally sign up and post

My name's Chris and I'm half German, half American, living in the south of Spain. I've been wanting my own motorbike since getting a taste of my friend's at the age of 9. I began working at 15 after school, and could finally afford one just before my 17th birthday. My parents are quite strict when it comes to motor vehicles - my older brother still doesn't have one, hasn't even started on his license yet - so I stashed the cash away for a year. With life being as it is I missed the chance to buy one until just before my 19th birthday.

I knew I wanted a green Kawasaki. I've only heard good things of them (and green's my favorite color!) so I decided on a pre-gen 250. I went to a meetup with a friend and got to ride a 636 and '09 250R. That's the day I decided on a newer 250R Everything felt right about it, and being an average sized guy it fit me perfectly. I debated the 636, but with speed limits being 80kph (about 50mph) on the highway, with a 6km stretch of road with 120kph, I decided I would never use the 636 to it's potential. There's also very many mountain roads down here, and the 250 I felt was much more fun in the twisties.

This was one of the websites I visited during my research, and I must say the community here is awesome

So here I am! It's been almost a year since I got my '08 Ninja Turtle with only 7000KM on the clock. I picked her up for 2900€...approximately $3800. Almost pristine condition - dropped once but fully patched up / repainted. Can't tell the difference unless you see the inside of the fairing. There's also a few screws missing...two of the lower fairing screws and an exhaust screw.

(Hope the image works)

Long-term plans include getting aftermarket fairings and storing OEM's someplace incase I plan to resell her, and installing a crash kit.

I've looked at eXtremeFairings - does anybody have experience with them? They seem decent / well priced and include custom paintjobs at no cost with free shipping. (Link)

Also the Evotech Performance Crash Sliders. (Link)

Thanks for reading, and more importantly for setting me on the right track! I hope to keep learning and eventually give back to the community
