Hello from Nebraska!
Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to take a few seconds out of y'all days to introduce myself! My name is Jerrold, but I go by Jay, and I have always been interested in street bikes since a young age. My cousins and friends ride yet I always had the "not in my house" stipulations from the parentals. I am finishing up my university schooling this semester to become a teacher and actually took a six month teaching stint in New Zealand this fall. Needless to say I finally got my hands on a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250r as a college graduation gift. It has quite a few things wrong with it (the previous owner had laid it down and the fairings show it) but it runs just fine. Currently, my cousin and I are working on fixing it up (only thing left is finding a rear brake pedal...) while I am slowly learning to ride it. I am an inexperienced rider but my cousin has been showing me the ropes and I am registered for the MSF in two weeks (wish me luck!). I have actually been an observer on this forum for a few months since I got my Ninja (i guess y'all call em Ninjettes (baby Ninja's?)) and have learned a lot from reading various posts (thank you all). Well sorry for the long post but I just wanted to thank everyone for their insightful and informative posts thus far! - Jay |

+1 for Nebraska! Similar situation for myself. Recently bought a ninja 250 after not being allowed while my parents still payed any of my insurance. Also graduating here soon. How did you end up teaching in New Zealand? Sounds like an amazing 6 months.
