St. Louis track junkie

Hello. I just got back from Grattan, where I was able to test ride and buy a buddy's 250. I have never had so much fun on two wheels. It was only my fourth track day, but I felt like a pro on that bike.....till I hit the straight that is. It felt awesome running up the tail of the liter bikes on my little moped. I even started showing off. Waving at my people in the pit as j drug knee around the bowl. I was grinning like an idiot all weekend.

Welcome Ryan!

Check out MCRA for your local track group, they hit up gateway all the time and maybe see you at Putnam sometime.

MCRA is a great group! I have done a couple of my track days with them. I actually bought my 250 from lance, one of the control riders.
I hope to go to Putnam at the end of April, but I am definitely going to do the race clinic at gateway in September.

Sweet! There are at least 5 MCRA 250 racers on this forum. Although they are kinda quiet and lurk most of the time.

If my schedule and budget holds, I plan on doing more racing with them next season. And I am looking forward to racing gateway next year. Either way, they run some really cool and laid back track days. Some of the most fun at the track I have ever had. I also did my first race with them. They make it fun and easy, you can't really go wrong because it's so cheap and the racing is pretty good too. They have quite a few fast guys on the grid. If you do any real amount of time with them, I am sure we will see each other on the track or in the paddock.

Until then, go fast and take chances.

That seems ambitious, but it has a strong grain of truth.
