FS : 08+ Ninja 250 GSXR shock setup

FS : 08+ Ninja 250 GSXR shock setup ... 2 sets.

Spring was not changed. I started racing on this shock and then moved to the RPM. Would really work great with some shortened links ...

Price : 60$ + shipping for the complete set

Please Note :

I have not taken off material of the stock GSXR collar (like others did). I purchased a 250 OEM shock bushing and pressed out the OEM collar. As you see in the left pic the GSXR collar is missing and hence i am including a brand new OEM 250 complete bushing [press out the inner collar and use some silicone to fit in the GSXR hole)

i swapped the whole rear for the new-gen. The main problem is need vs. want lol.

Do you have to cut the undertail to make it fit? Also would this shock be to stiff for normal street riding? And from what I've read the front end would have to be addressed as well..

No modifications required. Depends on weight .... If you are under 180 it will be slightly stiffer. Folks have shifted to 03-04 gsxr 1000 spring.

If you don't mind meeting me a bit late I wouldn't mind swinging by after I get done MTBing over at skeggs point(near Alice's Restaurant). We normally get done riding about 8 so I would be in your area till about 9ish.

I'm only 160lbs but I figure with a 20lb Mtb hanging 5' off the rear the shock probably feels like I weigh 200+.

not entirely true. If it is the same GSXR shock that i am thinking of that everyone else uses you will need to trim just a little bit off the bottom of the stockunder tail to make it fit where the air reservoir meets up with the actual shock part.

Other than that it is GTG

that is a great deal for that set up, switching front springs is not a must, but it does help. the GSXR shock made the bike feel much more stable compared to stock.

Sorry .. i was away this long weekend on a hike.

Well - Rojo took the complete setup. I still have the setup on the right.

The setup on the right will need some add-ons

1. The brass bushings/spacers as it came with the setup on the left. [I thought i had those but i cannot find]
2. For this shock the collar from Ninja 250 need to be pressed out and used. Rojo elected to use the GSXR shock collar and hence he took the right shock.

I will take a picture as to which one is left.

Except you would have to press out the OEM Ninja 250 shock collar inner spacer out and press into the GSXR eyelet. (That's why the Ninja 250 shock collar assembly is included).

Even the lower clevis mount needed slight griding on the inside lips to fit the mount.

ACE Hardware/Dale. You will not get them at Lowes or HD. maybe Grainger.

btw - I still have 1 complete setup left ... bump ! Use with the 17$ dogbones/links and a different spring, under 100$ a good raised setup.
