Why did they ditch the bike into the woods? At least the cops know that the hooligans usually don't wear gear. I was pulled over once for speeding (75 in a 55 rural highway) and the cop said he wasn't writing me a ticket because I looked like I was responsible b/c ATG.

Unless it was stolen, I assume they would comeback with a truck and trailer.
Remember, these are smart intrepid riders.

I get this ALL THE TIME! In my six year riding career, I've been pulled over maybe half a dozen times, and every single time have been given a warning because I'm in my gear. I actually got pulled over two weeks ago on the way to meet Chris for him to trailer my bike to Jennings. I was in full leathers because I had to have them for the track. The officer said he'd never seen anyone so geared up. I didn't tell him why, just acted like a full leather suit was my norm. I do always gear up with gloves, jacket, boots, and helmet, but not usually in my track garb.

Man.. That one with the girl is the hardest to watch. (though my eyes are glued to the screen)
I'd do some not-so-great things to someone if they did that to my daughter or sister, man..

What really gets me about that one is how the rider didn't give a **** about her at all, he just walks in the other direction. Never even checks if she's ok or not.

Back to OP: My brother crashed his CBR by doing a wheelie, he was wearing a joe rocket jacket, gloves and full face helmet. He fell off his bike and an ambulance came and he refused to get into it. (he didn't have any health insurance) he rode the bike back home and drove himself to the hospital where he found out that his ankle was completely messed up, bone showing and all. +1 for the adrenaline explanation

Actually according to the statistics it's easier for men to get out of tickets, women just get them less often.

while on the subject, never underestimate a lady cop, they can feel like they have something to prove to you if you do that and it never ends well if you make a cop feel like that.

you must be quite the charmer then, I've actually had the same experience. What I said still applies as a rule of thumb though, never make someone who has potential to abuse power over you feel like they need to do so to prove a point.

It really has nothing to do with the sex/gender of the cop. Just a "yes officer, no officer, sorry officer" will do.

My 20yr old daughter would disagree with that to the point of $124 and a trip to court next week. No joke, but that don't mean we can't laugh at her about it. I sure did... finally, someone other than me in the house has a ding on their driving record. hahahahahahha

It's not the cost of the ticket, it's more or less the points on your insurance!

Oh I know that as well, that ticket almost made me lose my license. Which is so much worse than points on insurance.

KY kicks ass ya know... She was ticketed for 69 in a 55 + court costs because I/she didn't ensure she had an up to date insurance card with her to prove she was insured. I predict a 4 hour traffic school to prevent points and an insurance hit (first offence and all).
Since I am her insurance sponsor, that is what is gunna happen if she likes it or not.
