Brand new member needs help bad

Hello all, I just wanted to say i love the 250 ninja motor and have always wanted one in a quad frame. My 1st bike was a ninja 250 and i recently traded for a 350 raptor frame with a ninja 250 motor in it. The motor is unfortunately locked up. The left hand piston does not move while the right side does so i am assuming the lower rod bearings are spun. More troubling is the total lack of spark. The wiring harness is uncut but I have no dashboard and no key switch. I hotwired it, using a 100ohm resistor in the grey and put the white and brown together with it. I have jumpered the kickstand, and the clutch switch. It has a starter button and run switch but i spliced them as well. Cannot get any spark, or the starter button to work. I can turn over the starter using a screw driver to jump the solenoid but no spark. HUgely dissapointed that the motor is blown lost a ton of money by trading my favorite quad a really well built 350 warrior for this monster, my dream come true is turning into a nightmare, I badly need some sparks before i spring for another motor, and really hope you guys can help i am running out of ideas. I know its been done but i cant find any build threads so figured i'd start one, the welds are sweet the geometry and gearing are perfect will post pics asap She still needs an exhaust and this wiring issue sorted out and a rebuilt motor but the dream lives, for now. lol thanks for looking all comments and opinions appreciated!

TlDr... You wanna put the ninja motor on whaaa or the raptor motor on who???

You worry about a lack of spark, more than a lack of internal motion of a piston??? I have ADHD...duh

no spark quadrockett

lol it is a bit of a problem the starter will turn the internals over but one of the pistons is stuck and the crank just spins freely on the lower rod bearing, I am getting another motor but have been unable to get the harness to give 12v hot to the coils. Here are some pics, of my progress this far.

New parts bike has arrived, a 96 wrecked and gutted a total score! 225 bones for the whole thing minus a few parts, harness is in worse shape but the motor turns and I am waiting for a key switch from ebay, with a key the only thing needed for spark is the clutch lever pulled in, the kickstand switch bypassed, and the run switch on? Anything else or is that all i need to have plugged up? Pics forthcoming

Still no spark but things are going forwarD

New motor is in, headers are on, and most importantly the key switch dashboard and starter button work. Thanks for the links they really did the trick. didnt have time to check for spark tonight but the exhaust is roughed out and the new motor turns over and sounds promising. cant wait to ride this thing, planning on going all the way and making her street legal.

Maiden Voyage!

Success! All wiring installed and tucked away out of sight. Starts right up with the proper button. Took it for a short test ride tonight, the headlight and gauges are held on with clear saran wrap but only because i couldn't wait till tomorrow for a 1st ride, unfortunately since there is no airbox it wont rev past 5k but some 105 and 100 main jets should sort me out. Once it is tweaked and finished i will strap on the go pro and see what she can do. Definitely going to gut original engine should be very educational and it may be fixable. initial impression

New rims, tires, took her out for a maiden mud voyage, major issues with jetting, ended up using a 112.5 main jet, the pilot airscrews at 2 turns out and one set of washers under the needles, absolutely has to have the stock air box venturie boots or it bogs in the midrange, still trying to make an airbox or squeeze a tiny k&n in there. An absolute blast to ride, I truly love it. Going to try and get a 13 tooth for the front and a 46 for the back. Videos will be forthcoming shortly what an awesome sound! Anyone else have trouble getting rid of the stock airbox? I was under the impression some filter pods would work.
