Alright ladies and gentlemen; it's finally time to start planning this awesome event! We've discussed it a few times at So. Cal Ninjette meet-ups but for those who are new, here's the idea.

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE COMMENTING

A few of us track addicts thought it would be fun to find a way to get new guys out there and share in our addiction. The track is the best and safest place to ride your motorcycle and I guarantee that after your first track day you will be a far better rider than you were before you came. I learn more at the track than I do in thousands of miles of riding.

What we want to do is have newer and first time track riders sign up to go with us while we have some of the more experienced riders step down the beginner riding group. We will show you lines, help you with your body position, follow you and have you follow us out on the track so that we can give you tips on how to be a better track rider. We will of course pit together and share in the fun off the track. Anybody who needs help track-prepping their bike (which is very simple) can ask us and we can work something out to have you all set up. The track day is on a Friday but we hope that you can spend the weekend at the track as Saturday and Sunday will be races with the Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association (CVMA). They're definitely something you wont want to miss, and the 250 grid is getting to be pretty big; watching those guys out there will show you some of what your ninja can really do.

The Details

The unofficial noobie track day is Friday, November 9th.
We will be riding at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway at Desert Center off of the 10 freeway about 60-75 minutes outside of Palm Springs
The organization we will be riding with is called Trackdaz (www.trackdaz.com)
Cost is $150 for registration but if we get enough people to sign up I'm sure that we can get a group discount. This feeler should give us a number to send to them so get your friends to join!!!
Riders will sign up for C Group, that's the beginner group.

What You Need
A full leather suit (or 2-piece suit that zips together with a 360 degree zipper)
Full gauntlet style gloves
Race style boots (full ankle protection)
Full face helmet.
Semi new tires. Just don't show up with anything worn out or down to almost useless.
Transportation - this is the other large cost of track days. We can find out who has trucks to take the bikes and for the rest of us possibly work out renting a large Budget truck and hauling as many bikes as we can fit.
Food
Water

There will be more information later on but this should cover preliminary details.

I have size 9 knox handroids (gloves) they have been crashed in but they will hold up in another 60+ no prob! if anyone needs to barrow them let me know

I'll be in A group the 9th but I'm trying to see if I can sign up for A and C. Well maybe I'll just sign up for c....

im sure that'd be cool with us. Usually we leave thursday anyway and camp out at the track to get a good spot and so we dont have to wake up at 3am to get there.

How are you gonna get all of your junk down if you ride? I suppose all you'd have to do is ride with gear and bum the rest off of us... bring lots of cash then!

I am interested in going to a track day, I live up in moorpark. I have a textile jacket and leather overpants, will have gauntlet gloves by then, and I don't have motorcycle boots (leather doc martens). If anyone has all that gear, or just a leather jacket maybe it could work. Or I will try again early next year...

I've got my old Dainese 1-pc size 40 suit you're more than welcome to use. Its beat up but will save your skin! Not perforated though... so it gets fairly warm. I also have size large A* gauntlets if needed.

Hey Max, great idea. The last month or so has been crazy for Crissy and me, haven't been paying close attention to the forum, etc.

I'll have to see if I can get by bike sorted out by then. I may have to call in some favors from some Ninjetters that I know.

We can probably bunk a few people on their way to and from the track.

As far as catching a ride I think having So Cal in the title will deter Nor Cal people away. You may have to hunt them down and ask!

I wish I hadn't been the only 250 when I went to midohio this summer. I'm dying to get out on the track again.

Newbie's, if you're having trouble deciding, screw it and go!! You'll love it, and having more experienced track guys to give you pointers and help is fantastic. I had csmith12 with me at midohio and he was so helpful. The SoCal gang are equally helpful and just as fun. I really wish I could be with you guys when you take over the novice group with 2fiddies.

take lots of videos for me so I can get my track fix here in the winter!

I would go with you guys and I'd make csmith12 come also I wish I hadn't been the only 250 when I went to midohio this summer. I'm dying to get out on the track again. Newbie's, if you're having trouble deciding, screw it and go!! You'll love it, and having more experienced track guys to give you pointers and help is fantastic. I had csmith12 with me at midohio and he was so helpful. The SoCal gang are equally helpful and just as fun.
