Hello from sunny So-Cal!

Hello everyone!
I've been reading up on the forums lately and I just decided to join yesterday.
I should be getting a 2009 ninjette in black this week. Fingers crossed!

Got my M1 in May, but I was in Europe for a few weeks so this is my first opportunity to get a bike.
A little about me! I'm 18 (turning 19 in August), and I live in Southern California!
Any So-Cal riders I would love to meet up when I get my bike. I don't really know anyone with a bike in my city, and I want to ride with other people!
However, I go to school at Vanderbilt in Nashville, so I only have a few months to ride before it's back to school. ):

Thanks!
David

Welcome to the board! We have a somewhat lively So. Cal group - where are you?

Make sure to read up on "winterizing" your bike or otherwise preparing it for storage before you go back to school. That is the best way to make sure you run in to as few problems as possible when you return. It's essentially draining the fluids from your bike and keeping the battery well taken care of.

Welcome to the board and grats on your new bike! I think there are a few members down your way; if anything you can always check the group rides/local events section.

Keep your head up, eyeballs moving, and your hands loose. Have fun out there.

Yeah I know. To go pretty much anywhere requires a nice ride on the I15.
