I couldn't resist...

Greetings all.

I don't know what exactly got me to purchase my 2008 black Ninja 250r. Was it that scene in Top Gun when Maverick is racing along side fighter jets taking off and cheering? Was it the incredible gas mileage and awesome handling? Was it its amazing looks? Did I just want to be cool?
The reasons are endless.

Here she is (and that's also my Jeep in the background, hence my fondness of the 250's mpg):

Well, to be honest, the looks aren't AS amazing at the moment. That pic was taken shortly after I got it late last summer. I laid it down in November. So the left side is pretty torn-up and the gear shift pedal is bent in. It's getting warmer again, so I've been on the lookout for some decently priced fairings for the left side.

I hope it wasn't Maverick on a "bike strapped to a trailer" with a jet taking off in the background.

how bad is it? you may be able to repair it. I fixed a slightly rashed fairing someone hooked me up with on here...

Also I painted mine black so it looks similar, but I kept the decals off.... looks so good with no decals.

Tie down straps on the front tire.

People keep arguing that the movie was supposed to be Academy (4:3 standard) aspect ratio because his hand is cut off in the widescreen version but, as it turns out, the fist thing was improv due to a bored actor who wasn't actually doing anything else in that scene and the "full-screen" version breaks as much as it fixes with that goof. It's common knowledge now that they framed the movie as 16:9 within the film area and opened the frame up a bit for the 4:3 TV version.

Didn't really post it for that reason. Just to check out the bike.
