Hey guys! I figured I would post something and introduce myself!

I bought my first bike - a used 2009 Kawi Ninja 250r SE a few months ago. It came with an obnoxious MGP growler on it and although I had heard it was a great starter bike it came with all the problems of a lean-running machine.

So as partly through the recommendations on this site and my own tastes I have ordered a factory pro jet-kit and a set of Bridgestone BT-016's with 110/70 in the front and 150/60 in the rear. I will be removing the snorkel and and I am just about to order a Yoshi full exhaust (I'm going with Yoshi as it seems to be the best bang for my buck as far as costs/shipping to Canada etc.). I can't wait to get rid of this MGP and gain more power and responsiveness.

I work as a geologist in the interior of British Columbia in an isolated mineral exploration camp. I have lots of time to myself and when I'm not staring at rocks I naturally find myself here.

Just wanted to thank you guys for sharing your knowledge as it helps noobs like me discover what riding is all about.

Jack

Hey jack, welcome!

How do the 150s fit on the bike, and how do you like them? I've been looking at getting some 150s but have read conflicting reviews.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard. I'm jealous of where you live. My wife and I stayed in Vancouver, Whistler, Nanaimo, and Victoria on our honeymoon and Victoria was out favorite. We're hoping for a tranfer to Vancouver Island in the future. You'll find lots of great info and members on this site. Enjoy

Hey Sean, to be honest man I'm waiting for them in the mail still. I am working out of town at the moment and am hoping to come back and get them installed as soon as I get back. Here are a couple links to check out if you haven't already. It seemed the BT battleax was the way to go so I read what I could and took the leap of faith!

Thanks Chad! I hope you get that transfer!

Yeah, I was looking at the bt-023s instead of the 16s. Well, be sure to make a thread when you put them on! Good luck to yourself.
