Do you ride "YEAR ROUND"? Plan on it.

Lowest temp you'll ride in? Won't ride below 50F.

When do you "PUT UP THE BIKE" for the year? Don't think I'll ever have to put it up for more than a couple weeks at a time.

Do you "RIDE IN THE RAIN"? I've ridden in heavy storms before, but not by choice. I wouldn't mind doing it more often if I had rain gear.

Do you "RIDE IN THE SNOW"? What is snow???

So far so good but only have a couple of rides behind it. Did get upto crusing speed but not quite highway. The first thing I noticed was it is noticably quieter and there is less buffeting as well as the air under the helmet thing. I haven't had it on the interstate yet though.

For $64.95 plus $13.95 shipping, I think it's a good investment. I got the "light smoke" model. It comes in clear, light and dark smoke but ZGOutlet (the cheapest place to get one - on eBay) doesn't (or at least didn't have one when I ordered) carry the clear.

4.5 out of 5 stars. IMO

I'v been riding to class all week so far and one thing I'v noticed is that I need a better jacket. My Icon Overlord doesn't give any neck protection, and when it's 30 degrees outside it hurts.

Your riding too fast. Try using the minimum speed.

I ride YEAR ROUND in Gilbert, Arizona. It can get cold at night but it's not horrible with a few layers. I've been caught in the occasional "haboob" or "monsoon" and it just simply sucks but aside from peeling my gear off in the summer, I enjoy riding too much to park it for more than a week.

Those work great. I wore my snow jacket today and was pretty warm. Almost low sided my bike though. Forgot cold tires are slippery.

I live in Augusta, Maine.I ride for the whole year. I haven't found a temperature at which I won't at least attempt to ride. I have ridden across town at 0 Fahrenheit. I don't put my bike away. I ride in rain, but I prefer snow.

I never really put the bike up. I try to ride year round, but as the weather gets colder i am more selective about what kind of conditions are acceptable. For instance, i have ridden at 28 f but it was only about 45 minutes at highway speed and there was no ice on the road nor was there any chance of precip. When the temperature is below 60 f i wont leave the house on the bike if is raining, on the other hand if the rain catches me while i am out, grin and bear it. I wont ride if there is any chance of snow or ice while iam planning to be out, crashed on ice once on a bicycle...learned the lesson well. Hard packed snow is almost as bad and falling on hard snow hurts like ice. If th ere is any likelihood of encountering frozen runoff or snow in shady areas, count me out. At 60 i dont heal as wellor as fast as when half that. Also long rides over an hour below 40 f are not really fun, even with all my gear. That said, i do not have heated gear yet but hope to someday.

CHEERS!

Do you ride "YEAR ROUND"? I wanted to, but sadly am putting the bike away this coming Saturday.
Lowest temp you'll ride in (identify scale)? low-mid 20's.
When do you "PUT UP THE BIKE" (month or whatever) for the year? Decemberish
When do you "BRING IT BACK OUT"? Plan on taking it out asap once the ice goes away...hopefully early march.
Do you "RIDE IN THE RAIN"? heck yeah, got my rain gear!
Do you "RIDE IN THE SNOW"? trying to avoid it..i did ride through a few flurries, does that count?

Do you ride "YEAR ROUND"?: yes.
Lowest temp you'll ride in? 15 F for the high of the day, maybe colder
When do you "PUT UP THE BIKE" (month or whatever) for the year?: NEVAR
When do you "BRING IT BACK OUT"?": Whenever it's nice out
Do you "RIDE IN THE RAIN"?: Yes, but not downpours
Do you "RIDE IN THE SNOW"?: No way. that's why I have a Subaru.

I ride every day in the summer, unless there's a hurricane coming through, or a day full of heavy thunderstorms where I expect lots of puddling on the roadway.

I ride in the winter whenever it's convenient. Warm spells for sure, but I ride in the cold too. I won't ride if it's expected to be below 40F and raining. I won't ride if it's snowing. I won't ride within a day or two of clearing of a snowstorm, because of all of the rocksalt and gravel.

I considered getting a dual sport and getting some nice snow tires, but I'd be too concerned about an idiot plowing into me because they don't know how to drive in the snow. I'll stick to my WRX with studless snow tires. plus, the snow drifting in the wrx is too much fun to pass up.

I'm in Toronto Canada and ride all months of the year. But, realistically Decemeber to February I drive majority of the time however I always get at least a handful of rides in every month, enough to not have to winterize her.

Today was my first December ride, its 6 degrees Celsius which is about 43 Farenheit. It was fun...

I had about a half inch of snow on my property and my bike wanted to go nowhere!! I spun the tire for 20 feet at about 2 mph. Snow sucks!!

I live in Monroe NY. Don't think I'll put her away but don't think I'll be riding much longer. Just the weekly startup and run about a mile circle I do around my neighborhood.
I rode to work at 45 degree temp with

Zero9 black ops helmet
Balaclava
Long john shirt
Down vest
S+S moment of truth jacket with liner
Long john underwear
Sliders all season pants with both waterproof and thermal liners in
Vega touring boots

My face was the only thing cold on me.

Where? Wilmington NC
Ride year round? As long as the bike is in one piece or enough of one piece to ride
Doesnt get put up
I avoid the rain because wilmington drivers cant handle rain. The city ranks on the top worst cities to drive in for a reason.
Havent seen snow in years :/

Do you ride "YEAR ROUND"? Yes (last year 10 work days not on due to weather)
Lowest temp you'll ride in (identify scale)? n/a; haven't found a minimum yet (lowest experienced is 5F)
When do you "PUT UP THE BIKE" (month or whatever) for the year? Sorry, this question doesn't make sense.
When do you "BRING IT BACK OUT"? In the morning.
Do you "RIDE IN THE RAIN"? Yes. It's only rain. I have a high-vis helmet to help with the real danger, namely other drivers.
Do you "RIDE IN THE SNOW"? Depends on if it's sticking. Snow that doesn't accumulate might as well not exist. Once it's staying on the road, it's time for two wheels to stay off it. I've tried it and I didn't crash but I also had to turn around and go home.

I did have one ride home where it started icing. I ended up getting OFF the bike and walking it the last mile home. Granted, that weather was unsafe on four wheels too.

Where do you live: Fallon, NV
Do you ride "YEAR ROUND"?: Try to.
Lowest temp you'll ride in? Haven't been through a winter yet.
When do you "PUT UP THE BIKE" (month or whatever) for the year?: Won't!
When do you "BRING IT BACK OUT"?": When it's sunny and not windy.
Do you "RIDE IN THE RAIN"?: Yes, but very very carefully!!
Do you "RIDE IN THE SNOW"?: if it's just flurries, sure. Sticking? No.

The biggest thing around here is the wind, 60-80 MPH gusts plays havoc with any attempt at going straight. I can only tuck in so far and boy is it a workout! I avoid windy days like the plague.
