New member in Central Cali, 08 ninja 250 race bike

Hi, just bought myself a 08 ninja 250 race bike. Took it out for a shakedown ride at streets of willow here in cali and had a blast getting my feet wet. My other bike is an 02 gixxer 600 and comparing the two, the 250 is super nimble and is very easy to ride fast. Current setup it has fork emulators, ohlins rear shock, and dynojet stage 2 jet kit, woodcraft clipons, rear sets, and full exhaust. It's already safety wired, I just need to fill in some body work and cut down some unnecessary weight and ready to race hopefully next year. See you guys/gals at the track!

Race next year? That thing is ready to go now! What's with the wait?

The new race season at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway starts in just under 3 weeks and we have a bitchin 250 grid. Come on out!

It's still a work in progress, gotta sand it down a bit then paint it.

What are the goods? How many miles? How did you get the bike on top of that rock at Yosemite?

How many times have you been to the track? Last year we had a guy get his race license on his second day. It's too late to pick up a license for September, but it's not too late for the October round! It's all about how comfortable you feel.

To name a few: ohlins rear shock, 04 gixxer 600 forks w/ axion valves, retrofit PC v w/ auto tune, k6 1k to header w/ yosh TRC carbon slip on, yoyodyne slipper clutch, asv levers, radial mc and brakes, ss brake lines front/rear, sato racing rear sets, vortex clipons, r6 throttle, dynojet universal quick shifter.....and the Yosemite pic is at glacier point, only Mc can park that spot to take that pic.

I have quite a few track days under my belt but that was with the gixxer. I'm not too comfortable on the 250 yet, still getting used to being at wide open throttle and not using the brakes as much.
