ZZR250 tire options for touring......

I've read all about Sport Demons, Avons etc. but what are people running for higher mileage touring? Dual compounds?

I've got an 01 ZZ250 with 17" not 16" rims.

Manitoba is flat with no real twisties and I love going on road trips. Soft compound tires would just disappear in no time flat.

Suggestions?

***EDIT***- ugh, fat fingered the wrong sub forum. Can a mod move this to 86-07 tech please?

Michelin Pilot street I'm Thinking. They seem to be pretty long wearing tires. Mine are going strong after more than 3000 miles

Michelin Pilot Street, 17k on the rear and going strong still.
Best bang for your buck tire with good handling in wet and dry.
I got mine just after release, and before every online store was sold out.

17K? Sounds perfect for what I'll be using it for. I'll have to look into those.

Another vote for the Pilot Streets. I've got 7,000 miles on mine and still looks fabulous. Really excited for longer road trips during the spring.
