Bought some parts to do my fender elimination when my fairings come back from the shop

At a local store bought a universal license plate and turn signals bracket, and small turn signals.

On eBay I bought a Sailor Specialties fender eliminator used for cheap!

Put on shorty levers, but in the process bent the plunger on the clutch safety switch, so I took it off, and took it apart to straighten it. All good, then attempt number 2 I did the same exact thing. After about an hour, I finally get the clutch side done, brake side took me 2 minutes.... Oh well.

Installed my new DID gold and black x-ring chain and 15T front sprocket... zero regrets. They should have come with 15T to begin with... much more utility in long curvy state highways and great cruising RPMs at highway speeds (65-75mph) best part is that I'm not always trying to shift into 7th anymore. Original sprocket 09 ninja 250 16000miles apr 13.jpg
It was definitely time to change them. They seem to be the originals and my bike has 16,000 miles. next step will be replacing the back sprocket next month.

lol yeah it works great! Feels a lot better after the oil change Still have the fuel decel weird rev at idle sometimes, but it's nothing that affects my riding, so I'm ok with it. Been putting a lot more mileage on it with my 90 mi commute. That Corbin is really paying off.

Installed my alarm too

Did my first valve adjustment over the weekend. I forgot tighten one of the exhaust adjustment nuts and when I took it for a ride the engine was clicking badly. Opened her up again and the nut had come off completely! Got the nut back on and things seems good now. Also put in new plugs while I was in there. I gotta say, having a magnetic pickup tool is a godsend, I don't know how I ever survived before without one.

Cleaned and lubed chain.

Got the hard part of the 500 service done! Syncing carbs tonight. Oil change, coolant flush, and air filter next weekend. Gonna have to save a bit longer for new brake lines and tires though...

Put in my exhaust baffle and crank case breather element. It's quiet filthy down there. Tomorrow I'll be changing my throttle cables and taking her out for a well deserved spin. I'll also install my Airtech Streamlining tail tomorrow.

Lane split...in the rain...uphill.

I never lane split, but traffic was at an absolute standstill and I was constantly trying to avoid slick paint. So glad I took the 250R, flicks so easy.

Rode to work to attend the MSF class today. Class was full (I was on the wait list) so now my girl is tucked behind a big SUV to block the wind. Hopefully I don't go out this evening to find her on her side.

You may be hitting it inadvertently? Or it's loose? Try adjusting the shifter to your riding style, or tightening it, etc.

It's so much easier to check the valve lash with the engine out of the bike and the chain off the cams

I'd go with a rivet master link. I have gone through at least 3 clip type master links. Either the clip broke or fell off. Even had it safety wired too. Don't know how it happened but it did. I had to rig up a paper clip to prevent the link from falling out.

My seat cowl came today, so I installed that (all of 20 seconds worth of install time). I also went for a ride to the beach, and had a frozen coke

finished some mods today.. finally...
slipped on stupid flip flops hit the bike on the corner where the fairings meet the tank near top bolts...fml. I didn't extend the kick stand for some stupid reason. Could have been alot worse, if that rack wasn't there could have just dropped the bike completely.

I bought her a Kerker full system exhaust for $100 shipped

I'll finally be able to hang my helmet to the lock without fear of melting parts due to the hot exhaust...!

I had been looking for about a year for a cheap Muzzy full system... but jumped on this unobtainium as soon as I saw it. Plus, Kerker is much more fun to say than Muzzy.

ERHMERGERD KERKER

Very nice!!! buy a cheap rear stand as well, since you'll have to ditch the centerstand.

Glad you finally found something.

I use a cheap one from Harbor freight. It seems to be holding up just fine. $30 for the stand.

I want a set of T-rex stands though. I want a front one that lifts by the lower triple.

I keep hearing this but mine had no interference issues with the center stand. In fact, that's all it had when I bought it (no side stand). I removed the center stand anyway because I have spools and swingarm stands (newgen swingarm).
