Hello from Southern Arizona
Hi all! I recently acquired an 86 ninja 250, and I'm looking foward to learning a lot here at this forum. What I really like about this bike is that it only has 2800 original miles. The downside to this is that it's been sitting for over 20 years in various storage situations. I'll have fun with it!

Whoa. Poor little bike-bike must have been lonely. And you might have the oldest ninja on the forum! Welcome!

Welcome Travis! I always liked that flavor of pregen. Good luck with the bike and ride safe.

Looks great! Might take some work to get going, but well worth it. There are a few 86/87 owners here that have done great things with their bikes. A few mentioned here to lead them to this thread:
@fjyang, @thsadmin, @86ninjarider, @86ninja

Hi Travis, Welcome to the club. 1st Gen 250's are the best in my opinion! but I'm bias of course
Change out all the fluids and go from there. Rejet the carbs if you want to eliminate idle issues, after that just enjoy the ride! |

I'm going to strip down the bike and do a thorough cleaning of everything I can. I will definitely be starting a project thread of the progress, but I need to wait until funds become more readily available (Christmas time and all). Thanks for the welcomes and advice! |
