120/60, 160/60 tire setup...
Here are some pics of my 120/60 and 160/60 tire setup. I'm running Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's...
Stock front wheel with 120/60: Equinox 5" rear wheel with 160/60: For anyone wondering, I did this modification for aesthetics only as personal preference, not performance. Years ago I had a Ninja 250 with similar setup (wider rear wheel/larger tires), on the 250 I had to trim the inner chain guard slightly with a dremmel, on the 300 it was bolt on and go, nothing to trim, nothing rubs, etc. As aside my buddy is still running that rear wheel setup on his 250 after apx 30k miles of use. I just starting to scrub these tires in so will play with the psi a bit to see what I like best but I'm currently at 30/34. For anyone interested, I purchased the rear wheel back in December 2014 from Koko at Sportisi Motorsport. His contact info is: Koko Adiyaksa Store Manager Sportisi Motorsport Jl.Tenggiri 4A, Rawamangun Jakarta Timur 13220 Tel.62-21-47862148/54 Fax.62-21-4892765 Mobile.62-81315733333 kokoadiyaksa@yahoo.com.sg www.sportisimotorsport.com I paid via Paypal to a different address he specified, it took few weeks to receive and arrived well packaged. |
