Should i bite? Or pass on this blue 08 ninja?
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/mcy/3923889635.html
The seller unfortunately doesnt give any details about the bikes maintenance. Aside that it has been laid down. Should i bite for 2450? I was just guessing to let the dude know that i'll pay 2000 bucks flat for it aside from asking if its salvage or clean. Whats ur opinions on this? |

I bought mine clean (no downs, maintenance kept up, plus upgrades) for $3000 when the guy was asking $3500. If you do end up looking at it and it check out, I would offer anywhere between $2000-$2200. It does say selling "ASAP," so the first cash offer he/she may take. Best of luck!

That's way too high in my opinon. I got my Ninja 250 track ready 100% turnkey track bike for 2600 and it started up and ran fine when I bought it

Pass. That damage on the plastic came from more than a simple lay down, more like a slam down. If you inspect it before you buy and it all checks out then I guess you could go for it.

Hey Random... go look at it, but be very open minded.
I just got an 07 ninjette, pretty much all stock, with some minor damage...18K miles, it cost me $1,500 for the bike, about $200 for reg fees, about $80 replacing broken stuff, $20 for an oil change. Im thinkin here in SD for about $2k you should be able to end up with a pretty sic ride, but you gotta keep watching CL like a hawk and get the one that is just right! oh yeah: check kelly blue book...notice it says EXCELLENT condition? that doesn't include damage from a crash. I have a '08 ninja and I paid $3500.00 brand new(in 2008). I would say he is only looking to loose about 1k for it. With almost 10k miles and cosmetic work I would do two thousand solid. Good luck.

I just paid $2000 for a 08 250 with 2500 miles on it.. The right side fairing was busted... I'd offer $2000!

Offer 2k, id say, not sure how the American pricing is for the ninja's. Also, if you do go ahead with the purchase, make sure that the mirrors are included, the handle bars and levers aren't bent, and a rear seat. I have a feeling that it might be an aftermarket ebay fairing kit.

I would be concerned about why the plastics are scraped and craked ... Not a penny over $1,750

haha im fine with that ur's is wayyy too far. the guy is willing to sell it for 1700 but im set on 1600 since thats all i have and since he doesnt know if carbs r cleaned if i were to take it out to a shop it would cost about that much to get them un-clogged or in better condition, plus fairing price haha.
sounds reasonable? |

Don't think I don't want to ... Between work and family I don't have much "free" time. But thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm better with cars, ok with bikes.
I would beware cuz its been dropped. Lots of things get bent when a bike falls with a little speed. If you have the $ for fuel then go check it out, its up in LA, too far from me or keep searching... The right ninjette will come come yer way. Posted via Mobile Device |

Haha okie dokie i understand dude! and im okay with bikes as well especially the ninja since i worked on my red one. But im still far from being even experienced with inspections tho haha. Im planning on going up there to check it out in person and possibly test riding it if everything checks out fine
