Halo Masterchief Motorcycle Theme In Progress

For those gamers out there, ive chosen a halo theme for my bike and its still in progress. The details are still being worked in a little at a time and the gas tank and tire hugger are next. For those that have no clue what im talking about i have included a picture of a vehicle from the game "halo". Advice welcome!

It is possible to make a bike rear wheel steer....but you would wipe out in a second....it simply would not even be drivable lol

Valid only if you mount a big a$$ gun on it and ride around in battle armor.

What did you use to mold the shape on top of the helmet, as well as bond the material to the helmet (if not adhesive in and of itself)?

I used a program called pepakura viewer. its free to download. you can also get the files for helmet builds here

I built the helmet out of cardstock paper and hot glue, shaped it to fit my helmet, hot glued it on, resined it, and then fiberglassed it all onto the helmet for strength and attachment. then bondo work and shaping.

Very nice, and thanks! Good stuff to know. I was looking for a more free-form/sculptable material for a project I have in mind, but am still researching if said material will compromise the integrity of my helmet.

Still, this is too cool a resource to ignore. Looks like I may have to fab up some black armor and do that Red Versus Blue character some of my friends always likened to me.

its a really tedious project but fun and very rewarding. I would recommend a halo costuming site but i believe they shut it down www.405th.com pm me if you ever decide to tackle this project because i have made a whole suit of armor several times and have tons of advice for you

Thanks!! Be careful, as I may take you up on that at some future point. It's always super-helpful having advice from someone who's done the stuff before.

Have you looked into worbla?

It looks like you might be beating these guys to their HALO release!

And while you can't mount an actual gun, you should consider one of these.

No, I'll check it out. Thanks. I've been looking at Polygem, since they offer a version that's squishable, which seems like potentially a good way to miticate any additional damage in a crash. I don't want something hard attached to my helmet and smashing through it into me if I crash.

that helmet looks like it will turn out awesome, idk how much you could do to the bike to make it halo themed other than some stuff painted on, but maybe you could get a full leather suit and make some spartan armor to put on top of it

Love it. My brother finished a Halo armour a few years ago.

The bike theme is coming along very well.

Thanks a lot everybody! your support and comments drive me more. im currently working on the led lighting and back shading on the bike. the helmet is coming along quite well with some slight modifications to detail which set me back a bit. but im back on track and should have the helmet complete by next week.

That bike is so cool you need to take a pic in full armor dragging knee on it and make that your profile picture it would be awesome. Old lemon has the right idea
