I could handle rain. I could handle cold. Both simultaneously? I guess I'll pass.
Anyone want my bed at the Ironhorse? I'll now sell it for $10. I paid $30.

I went up Tuesday and right after I got there it came a massive hailing thunderstorm in which the temp dropped 30f. That should have been clue #1.
Clue #2 should have come on day 2 when I left out to hit the Dragon/Cherohala loop and it was still very cool at 60f, it stayed at 60f until the top side of Cherohala, then it was colder. Clue #3 was day 3 when it rained ALL day and was in the 50's.

Anyway, the forecast earlier, before I left Atlanta was for temps in the 80's so I wore my 2 piece Sedici mesh suit, and did not take the liners SINCE it was GOING to be in the 80's! I took my rain gear thank God because I wore it the entire time except for the trip up on Tuesday. It helped me have a windproof layer and saved my butt from the EXCESSIVE freezing I would have suffered.

Now, this morning on the trip home, with temps in the 50's, I froze and was so stiff I dared not have fun coming back through the N Ga. mountains.

Other than getting to see and spend time with my great niece the trip was a total bust. Sucks.....

Natchez is always fun. I haven't been since I went with my old high school buddy last year. Always gotta hit up Puckett's in Leiper's Fork for a cheeseburger!

I used to live 15 mins or so from Leiper's Fork, just wish I had a bike when I lived out that way, some fun curvy roads!

Due to time issues, I won't be able to make it to the dragon this weekend.
I'll probably have to wait a few weeks to head out that way

However, here at least, it should be nice riding day and I do have some time....from 10am to 3pm(ish)

So I made this post for anyone in the Nashville area Sunday....

She got to add a part of her windsheild to the tree of shame, she slid out on a turn. She's fine, banged her knee a little and a tiny bit of rash on her wrist.

And then we went down river road (off the skyway just before tellico) and went all the way to the dirt she was a trooper, we went a few miles before we turned around

I had a blast, even though it was cold, and rainy. We actually had sleet and hail on the skyway. The wife loved it, so it was a successful trip!

the steering geometry is a little out of wack because I lowered the front 1.25 inches and didn't touch the back. But I liked the way it handled when I Was ridding it.

I hope you turned the shock up a couple clicks lol

Yeah, I'm on 3 on the rear shock, but I'm going to try out 2.

I love how quick the steering is because of the lowered front end. I'm going to keep it that way I think.

hope you guys had fun. my friend and i arrived thrusday afternoon, we did two early morning runs friday but it was zdayz there and the whole area was madness with racers. plus it rained when we went on the cherohala skyway. we decided to just spend an extra day on the blue ridge going back to nyc. too bad i couldn't meet with any of you. maybe have a summer rally instead? no car rallys or rain next time
