Rebuilding the bike and then....

So my bikes been apart for over a year. It's a slow rebuild based on money and spending time with kids and family. So I changed the headlight removed the gauge cluster removed the handbrake and clutch lever (they are still off). I replaced the petcock on the tank and rebuilt the carb. I'm more then positive everything was put back together but I wanted to start it today to make sure 1) the new peacock didn't leak like the old and 2) make sure the carb didn't gunk up again.

When I went to start the bike I got nothing. No click or anything however the headlight and turn signals work. The battery is on a tender so it is charged. Would not having the clutch lever on cause this issue or not having the brake level on? Also is there something in the electrical system connected to the gauge cluster that could be causing this?

Am I just rushing to conclusions? Thanks for the help guys and gals

Already read that in the wiki page on this site. No luck. I feel I may be in 1st gear and can't put the bike in neutral.

Kill switch wires on the right side pod maybe? Those will kill the start too.

The fuses are all good but thanks. I'll post in a week just waiting on new levers and then I'll go through everything
