Seller also said clean. If it doesn't go through insurance, a bike can be fully wrecked and still have a clean title. That's how my current bike is lol. I suspect that to be the case with the last 250 I had because there were weld marks on the frame under the tank. A shady seller could easily hide the true history of the bike behind a "clean" title.

Explain this to me. When this person said "no second gear", does it mean that the bike can't shift to second gear (which contradicts a statement later in the ad), or did the person never shift past second gear when the bike was ridden?

I'm thinking the poster meant to say just go 1st to 3rd. No 2nd is pretty clear.

Try getting into a credit union if you have a local one. They offer help for people building credit.

If you don't have a CC try to get one and use it for just gas or something to start. keep the balance under 30% and that should help alot. Its a slow process but worth it.
