Scored a Muzzy Pregen header on eBay!

I just received the 2nd header I got off of eBay, $50 shipped. It turned out to be the header pipe from a Muzzy exhaust, and I am very pleased... now to find a nice light, small can to mate up with it... any suggestions fellas?

I heard GSXr cans fit, id go with an FMF or a Akropoviac.

On a side note, BALLS just when I give up looking for a header... One if the two things I need to complete my build.

What was your search technique to find the header?

EX250 Ninja exhaust... sometimes the bike salvage doesn't know what they have. It takes a lot of searching through each listing, but hey... it saves buying a brand new one for $$$. I got a SpecII from a 1987 pregen also, complete, including the can, but i don't know if it is as good as the Muzzy. I can try them both and see which one pulls better. I had just bought the SpecII and then went back, and scored the Muzzy. Both were on the same search.

I don't think anybody even makes new ones. I searched and the only thing I found was a rashed rusty muzzy for $300, so I was considering making my own. I guess I'll try to keep the search up.

Make your own, then you can tune it however you want. Take the displacement and camshaft numbers, figure out the RPM you want peak power at and do the math to calculate diameter and length.

Except I'm not the best welder. Although I'd love one tuned for 11500.

Tack it up yourself and have someone else TIG it. That's what I did with the pipe on the Vintage bike. My Miller 210 sucks at small stuff. I paid someone 30 bucks to TIG it up for me after I had it tacked.

I saw the Supertrapp in the later photos, I have a universal SuperTrapp aluminum can somewhere in the garage with a competition end cap on it, I may try that just because I have it lol... Also have a SuperTrapp SuperMeg from a Harley that I used on the VTR250 before I got the Yoshimura. The Supermeg is a little heavy, though. I like SuperTrapps, as they are tunable with the amount of disks you use.I was thinking of making an under tail exhaust, as I believe I have enough room between the tire and the splash guard. That would take a pretty slim can, though. The SpecII can is pretty slim, I may try that. This is a pic of that header!!
