Hello from Boston

I got my license early summertime and stumbled on to a 97 250r in awesome condition. She's been treating me well so far.

Got bored riding around the neighborhood so in about a week my buddy and I are going to ride up Mt. Washington in NH. Wish me luck!

I didn't know about it. I just looked it up and it seems like an awesome ride. I'll definitely have to bring it up with my friend.

^yea, head up 93 to the kancamagus highway, go all the way through to route 16 and take that up to Washington... gotta be one of the best ways. I've also heard good things about bear notch road, but that was on a subie forum, so the road might not be fit for a bike.

Welcome and ride warm. It will be getting cooler in upper New England soon. It will be cold on top of Mt Washington so dress appropriately. Going up the mountain is easy, coming down is the hard part. You will be cold and on the brakes the whole time.

Don't forget the nice roads in the Blue Hills.

Welcome Cliff!

CC Cowboy-What roads would you recommend in the Blue Hills? I just moved to Jamaica Plain from Eastie and haven't made my way over there just yet.

Chickawbut is the road through the hills. It's short but super nice. Milton is a nice town to cruise through getting there also (I lived there for years). Head out to Nantasket then down through Cohasset, Scituate, and Marshfield (you can go all the way to the Cape if you want). Head west from there through Pembroke, Whitman, Abington, Randolph then back to Milton. All are nice towns and if you check google maps there are some great back roads throught the area. Dover, Sherborn, Holliston is another area you'll like. Just check google and go farther each trip. You'll love the roads and find new places each time.
