Hello thereeeee!

Angelo here, from Sydney Australia

Newbie rider, only riden about 20 mins in my life lol

Recently aqcuired a Black 2011 Ninja 250 with 3000km's on the clock.

I just purchased the BikeMonkey fender elimintaor and LED brake light kit along with a Mussari exhaust and black sun shield.

Not too sure what to do with the eliminator+brake kit as im not 100% about the LED indicators being bright enough when brakes are on. Any advice would be highly appreciated

Speak to you all soon

Welcome

I don't have the bike monkey tail I have the custom LEDs version of LED tail light and its easily twice as bright as anything stock. When it comes to LED if its a quality product it's going to be very bright but be warned there's a lot of cheap ebay and amazon crap out there that are dim enough to be totally useless.

Yeah, im a newbie lol

Im keen to go ahead with the LED tail light but Im not sold on the built in LED tail light, dont trust drivers these days!

Only problem is, the Bike Monkey fender eliminator doesnt have the option for the stock turn signals to be mounted so I dont know what to do

Welcome to the site, Angelo !!!

Even if you don't appreciate it, here it goes: focus more on your riding skills and less on any mods.

Recommended book: Proficient Motorcycling.

Wish you many years of safe and happy riding !!!

Thanks for the welcome guys, looking into the book now

I done my LED tail light + fender eliminator swap out yesterday, what a pain. Managed to hook up the original indicators and disconnect the LED indicators in the tail light just as a safety precaution. BM says its a no cut job, bullshit it is! Had to cut the bottom bracket for the light off from the original fender.

Quick question, I cant remember if this is normal or not but my headlight doesnt turn on when its on reds, only comes on when I start the bike?

With the headlights, it varies from country due to laws, I have a tiny light that stays on when the key is in and the bike in on but not started, then the main light comes on when I start the bike, and I have the option of full beam ontop of that.

Yeah mines the same, just wasnt sure if it was like that prior to the LED tail light works lol

One more nuffie question, is the left light low beam and the right high beam? For some reason my cousin thinks they have changed since the work

As you sit on it, i'm fairly sure with mine the left side is low and right side is high.

I wouldn't worry too much if they work lol

Congrats on the new bike. My recommendation is to get at least 1,000 miles of seat time under your belt before starting to mod. The reason being is that by modding you are admitting to yourself and others (although you may not realize it) that you care more about how the bike looks and sounds than how it functions). As a new rider, you need to focus on your technique at first. The mods can come later. Who knows, you could crash it ten miles down the road and all the money you spent on those mods would be wasted.

Anyway, enjoy your new ride!

I'll disagree with the mods, if you want to make the bike yours and jazz it up a bit there is no reason not too!

No shame in admiting you want to make the bike your own or stand out a little, I regret not doing a few mods like the levers and the tail tidy sooner due to people saying not too.

Mod the hell out of your bike, it makes it yours as well as killing any desire to sell it due to total resale lose because you never get your money back out of mods. I had Levers, HID retrofit, and Koso Gauges on the bike within the first week of ownership. We'll just say I didn't stop there by any means

Good luck with your mods.
