Hi guys,

My name's Tiff. I've been riding an '08 ninja 250 for 3 years now

About me:

I'm 21 and grew up in the Greater Toronto Area. I've had no road experienced prior to getting my bike at 19. I'm currently in the process of getting my driver's license in the next week or so.

I lurk around here a lot, including the GTAM community (they seem to be less forgiving about asking questions or opinions in that regard, especially if you own a 250). I thought it was about time I join community discussions, and you guys have seemed like a great crowd these past couple of years.

I've been looking into getting a bigger bike, since I've out grown mine, but because insurance here in Toronto is a big PITA, I would be paying over 3k to insure a supersport of any sort. I've been inspired by the people that have modded their 250s on this forum, and I hope you guys could be of help to me finally personalizing my bike in my third year!

Most of us hate GTAM too lol

Don't be in a rush to upgrade from the 250. We'll take you on some rides that'll show you just how big that little bike is

Hey Dave lol

I'm in no rush to upgrade, I know the bike is capable of doing a lot. I've tested it out myself. I just want to move away from that comfort zone

Man im the same situation 20 years old in ontario, insurance is way to expensive here!!!

I paid 1.2k the first year, then 960$ the second, now I'm only paying 840$ for this year.

When I asked about the ninja650, they wanted to charge me 2.3k/year. I am with Desjardin btw.

I just bought my new 2012 Ninja 250 Special Edition! Cool bike! Only have 150 km on it so far.

You pay that much for insurance??

I have just the absolute bare minimum $1MM public liability coverage in Alberta - and only pay $106 per year.

I have a lot of upgrades planned for this bike. I just ordered a Yoshimura Full System Exhaust.
