yep, about 1/3 of the way up the driveway. I should be able to do it myself I just need to clear all the snow packed in the undercarriage. I hope I can get it back to the house during my lunch break

I want to go snowboarding. I bought a board 6 years ago and have only used it once.

O_o I don't own a board and I go at least 3-4x a year. I don't consider that enough to warrant investing the $$$ into a board.

You could probably justify the cost, especially if you get a setup on discount. Since you know you'll actually go, then it might be nice to always use the same equipment every time.

I thought I would go more when I got my board but then my circle of friends drastically changed and now I don't really have anyone to go with.

the funny thing is that I do use the same equipment every time, all the rental boards are the same and they're taken care of the same way. Now they definitely aren't as cool as a real setup but you never know. My older bro may actually gift me his old setup at some point but if he doesn't I'll stick to the rentals until I get my degree and have the extra cash. I'll go more often too then since the savings for bike gear + other bike related expenses more or less take away from my ability to do it often. I don't mind that but would love to snowboard more often hahaha.

you could always just go and have fun and get 1-2 friends into it with you.

I will, I'm taking the boring path that's mostly straight and taking it slow since I'll have no traction to work with. The downside of not having a fully functional car to work with in the middle of a blizzard.

4" of heavy, wet snow yesterday... 48 degrees today and tomorrow to melt it all with freezing temps overnight (yay, ice!)... a blizzard is expected on Thursday... and then we drop back to the 20s... I am so tired of being cold and dealing with ice & snow.

Summertime it is twice as busy with all us new riders asking questions and making comments about what we are experiencing.

There are also a good amount of track threads, ride reports, and the dreaded crash threads. Basically it's just as lively except with helpful information and a bit less joking around waiting for the sun to get out of lockup.

Those of us with day jobs will still be on here during the summer, posting reports from the weekend, upgrades that the extra daylight after work allows for, vacation plans, etc. it will be more riding oriented vs stuck in the house oriented.

Like me, expect a ton of pictures from me once the daylight starts returning (come on March!).

Looking at the extended forecast, I am starting to doubt my bike will see the light of day before mid-April.

Yesterday was a gorgeous 50* and sunshine here. Smack dab in the middle of the week when riding is impossible due to kidlets. Spare time this weekend coming up and guess what the weatherman predicts: snow. Efff this. Bring on the sunshine!

Yesterday was spectacular! Went for lovely ride on baby KLR after work. Absorbed vitamin D for 30 minutes in short pants. Mowed lawn (first cut of the year!).

Currently snowing and raining (Saturday early afternoon). Oh well.

Happy March!
