Well hullo there!
New rider incoming...
Been dreaming of these days for years! Finally convinced my mother that buying a motorcycle is not = committing suicide. Just bought a ninja 250 about two weeks ago, it's the most fun i've ever had in my life!! Already have a bunch of repairs to do, (i was a dumba** and let a friend try to ride it..), but parts are on their way and the sun is still shining! Can't wait to get it back on the road! |

Welcome Andrew! I do like your user name!
So are you going to share what your friend did to your poor baby ninja? Not right to have to do a bunch of repairs so soon. But at least you'll get to know her very well by the time you are done.

Thanks everyone!
@NevadaWolf yes, though the memory is still painful... chances are she's gonna have some trust issues once we get back together. It could've been a lot worse, it was dropped from almost a standstill and my friend had no injuries beyond a nasty cut on his foot. However, it just so happened to fall on a curb, right on the upper fairing/headlight.. So the whole upper fairing needs to be replaced, the headlight was cracked, the windshield was broken, the upper stay bracket was bent at the left side mirror, and the meter housing was cracked. Thankfully, all the damage seemed to be cosmetic. It rode home okay, and all the gauges still work fine. I ordered all the parts (fairing and meter housing are oem, headlight and stay bracket i found used, and i found just some cheap windscreen..). I'll put up some pics tomorrow if anyone wants to see em, but it's painful to look at... it was so pretty before! |

Welcome to the forum, and the road. Congrats on your purchase. Sorry about your learning experience... That's why most folks will let a person ride their partner before they let em ride their bike!

OHH ouch. I think your girl is owed a wash and wax by hand and maybe a fine dinner of premium fuel after that tramatic experience. Then let her show you a good time on some twisties. Be good to her from here on out.
