I've never really been in that part of the state. Went to Danbury once with my ex to buy her Miata. I'm up for an adventure though.

I'm in Metro West, which you would think is centrally-located yet it seems like people are far away. I keep threatening to try to put together a group ride but I am so lazy! My two ideas are to go to Parker's Maple Barn and/or Funspot/Weirs Beach (not during Bike Week). If we did Parker's early, it could all get done in one day. I haven't scoped out a route or anything, so this is all just based on having been to each place separately.

New here in Newtown, CT.

I do a bike night in Bethel, CT called "Fuel, Air and SPARK!" It is Connecticut's bike night for everyone who doesn't worship at the Church of Harley. 3rd Wednesday of every month.

A group ride of 250 riders should definitely happen this year.

A group ride is being held at one of the local tracks. Join in or be left out.

Hello My wife and I live in the Sturbridge area which is just 30-40 mins up rt20. She has taken over the 250 but I have 2 other bikes and we do several rides a year to Quabbin res which is a nice ride out in the boonies. We always have room for another rider. Hope to see you this spring

Do I have to ride on your bike or with your wife?

I talked it over with my wife and she said she will need to see some pics before you can ride.

But seriously You will have to bring your own bike but you are welcome to come ride and have some BBQ if you would like (plus maybe some)

I used to do a foliage run in the fall out in those parts. A spring run might be too cold and wet for a stud like me.

CCcowboy if you do find yourself out this way I have some insanely twisty roads here to run. There is one which always tests my maturity to not ride faster than safe. There are two turns (one left then one right) which have perfect small inclines when you exit. When I do the apex right I can keep the 250s front tire in the air all the way down the down side.

The wife and I ride almost every weekend and during the week if we get home early enough. I am also dying looking at all the bikes covered up in the basement and no fresh scuff marks on the tires. I heard that there might be a 50 degree day next week so all I can do is recheck all my gear and wait! Winter sux! We need to get a ride organized this spring when the roads clear

The weather might be warm enough but the roads will be a mess from the sand. I wouldn't take the risk, especially when Bike Week is two weeks after that with temps in the 80s, roads in perfect shape, free beer, and naked women (along with some racing).
