New member looking to pick up a 250 for the track

Hey guys!

I'm from Wisconsin. I started doing track days on my 2002 R6 this spring at Autobahn and Blackhawk Farms. Many people over on the R6 forums seem to rave about getting much better on the track after they parked their 600 for awhile, and picked up a 250.

So my question is, do any of you race Pre-08 ninja 250s? If so, how do you like it? Sub $2000 will be my budget.

The cheaper the better, and I will be doing the obvious track day upgrades, SS lines, pads, and tires.

I need to work on several things, getting my head down more, etc.

Welcome Rocky. I'm from Northern Illinois and run with CCS at Blackhawk and the other tracks in the area. Learning to ride a slow bike fast will definately improve your big bike skills! Theres a girl with a well prepped pre-gen that gets along with the new bikes so an older one will probably work fine for you. I also have an 08 and an 09 both race prepped and one of them needs a new home. I'm thinking $2800.00. A little higher than your budget but these bikes are track ready. Let me know if this interests you.
