New Rider and Ninja 250 Owner from KC, MO!
Hey guys! I've been lurking for a month or so since I bought my 09 Ninja 250, but I figured I should introduce myself. I have wanted to get into riding for a very long time, but for one reason or another was not able to get a bike. I got the OK from the wife and decided to go with a nice starter Sport bike...the rest is history.
I have been taking it slow as I learn the basics, and read/watch instructional videos about safe riding. Friends, this website, and others have been very helpful guides to being a safe rider. I have gotten comfortable with the operation of the bike and am building road awareness (avoiding cagers) on short rural rides. I have an 7 week old daughter, so ATGATT is very important to me and I have invested accordingly. Once I get more experience, if there are any other Kansas City riders out there we should go for a ride! My 2009 Ninja 250r w/Givi T431 saddlebags. My 7 week old daughter |

Look into MSF. I took it after riding for 20+ years and it cleaned up some things that I "thought" I had under control. I like your saddle bags. Cute kid!!

Welcome
Congrats on your baby and your other baby! As others have said, the MSF course is a great idea. I will be taking it in April both for the knowledge, and for my full license. Best of luck with your new ninja and baby! |

Thanks guys! I'm going to look into the MSF course soon, but I'll probably still do the cone test for my license (I like a challenge). . I like the saddle bags a lot, but the right side does hit the exhaust when it's expanded out. It's 48* tomorrow, so I'm hoping to go for a ride!

The bags are great, they go very well with the lines of the bike. The only thing I don't like is that they kind of look like this from the back. \ Bike / |
