Hello from Western NY
Hi everyone. I'm not a Ninjette owner yet, but am looking to be soon. I own a 98 Suzuki Bandit 1200 for the street, but want to get on the track. The little Ninja is the best way for me to do that right now (limited financial resources). Not sure if I want a pregen or a 2008+. Been researching both to see if the 2008+ is superior for racing/track days. It seems like there is a lot more aftermarket support for the 250J, and the radial tires available for it make it tempting.
Anywho, just wanted to say hello. I'm looking forward to being active on here once I get a bike and start track prepping it. I love working on bikes as a hobby and am always willing to give advice/help. |

I'm leaning toward a pregen for the track, but need to keep researching rear shock options for a pregen. I'm wondering if there is a cheap shock that I can get for a pregen for track days only, as I want to do a year of track days and NRS' before I start racing. (Translation: Is there a better shock I can get cheap and respring w/o having to drop a ton of money on a G3-S?) Race bodywork for a pregen seems to me nonexistent, but I'm going to do my homework searching the threads b4 I post a new thread. NOT gunna be that guy haha. Again, thanks for sharing the thread. |

Good question. I don't know how different the pregen and newgen frames are. That might be worth starting a thread on, if someone hasn't done it already. I'll pull up the parts fiche on Bike Bandit later and see what I can find.

Thanks bob2010. Good to know there are ninjette owners around. If you see a pregen for sale anywhere in WNY, pm me. I check Craigslist and eBay regularly, but there's always a few for sale on the side of the road somewhere...
