Waffle Taco

Quote:
Taco Bell introduces the Waffle Taco

Seems Taco Bell was not content to cater to the lunch, dinner and "fourth meal" crowd. Now they're moving into breakfast territory with a new line of menu items -- the biggest launch they've done in 50 years. Say hello to the Waffle Taco and the A.M. Crunchwrap.

The Waffle Taco wraps a waffle around scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon. Despite the taco moniker, it's not even vaguely Mexican. Think Egg McMuffin on a waffle. The new syrup-doused dish is being billed as breakfast-on-the-go. (We're thinking it ought to be billed as "syrup-on-your-pants.")

The fast food chain is also adding breakfast burritos, Cinnabon doughnut holes, A.M. Grilled Tacos and A.M. Crunchwraps to the menu. The latter tucks eggs, hash browns, cheese and bacon (or sausage or steak) in a flour tortilla. then tosses it on the griddle to give it the crunch treatment.

But it was the Waffle Tacos that seized the public imagination, at least in the Twitterverse, where posters tried to figure out which Taco Bells already had it, and opinions ranged from "You had me at waffle" (@tomspano) to "Looks like something I made at home drunk once" (@CapitalKatie).

Our question: Where's the Doritos Locos Waffle Taco?
You've been warned

You're thinking of the blue waffle. And even that might be more appetizing than this Taco
