newly acquired 08 ninja 250 here!
hey everyone.
Name's Jeff, but everyone knows me as "tofu". I just picked up an 08 blue ninja 250 last night with 1700 miles on it never dropped, in perfect condition all over- clean everything for a good deal! I'm very new to bikes although I have a few friends that ride and I've been wanting to join for a long time. I currently reside in the Chicago suburbs and I can't wait for this winter weather to be over so I can start getting the hang of things. I'm at age 22 major in marketing and a minor in business administration. I may pick up an EMT class as well come spring. Currently working on bachelors for my minor in business and may pursuse further classes in marketing as well come the fall of 2010. I've been a car guy my whole life since my whole 'familia' of friends and I have been in the custom car industry for years- and still doing it! I work at a car shop as a mechanic and cashier as well as downtown with my other riding buddy in the mortgage industry as a mortgage broker. I got engaged just a little over a year ago so not to mention my fiancee worries as usual but I'm sure with whatever information I receive through this forum, that I'll use it to the best of my ability and I hope to learn a lot of great new stuff. (We ironically met at the car show I used to be employed for 6 years ago when she was modeling there).. We've been through a lot and I'm very happy that she understands my new 'hobby' and is willing to put up with it! I don't have huge plans for the bike since it's just my little starter bike, just want something to cruise around in. I may just put in some hids in it, a slip on exhaust, tinted windscreen, (maybe) lowering links, that rear-mud guard eliminater thing, and some clean lighting details.. that's about it. I'm not looking to go super fast since I'm more willing to do that with a car than a bike (on track) and I don't think I'd have the guts anytime soon to take this bike to the track if at all.. but who knows! Sorry for the long intro post but this is how I usually do it! thank you very for your time and see you on the boards!

welcome to the wonderful world of the passion we call the state of mind of the motorcyclist. It will grab you and take for adventures that will shake your mind and thrill you like no drug can. Your journey that has begun with your blue stallion will take you down ribbons of black that will change your emotions, as sometimes it takes more that tank of gas to clear the mind.
Welcome to the forum and congrats on getting the sexist color. nb

Congrats on the Ninja! You'll find that no matter how small the engine it, she will be quite responsive and the pick-up is great. And, you will find all kinds of useful information and great people to help you out.
