Hey there! I'm new to the forum and a new rider. I just got my bike this past weekend and need to do some work on it. (Oil change, install blinkers, a few screws and new tail light bulbs) I'd love to get together with other Ninja riders that know what they're doing! Would it be okay if I join you? I'm not sure exactly what my schedule looks like for the weekend but I may be able to make it. Where are you guys located?? Thank you!

Hey Chad! The tech day will be held out in Indio and everybody is always invited and receives lots of quality advice and help from the nice guys over there. As long as you're comfortable with riding freeway to get there PM Ken (Kjohnson21) or Crissy (ManyCavies) and get the address, have fun!

Ah that sounds like a blast. Indio is quite a ways for me and I'm still new at riding. I think I'll have to pass on this one, but I deff want to come out sometime for a tech day! Thanks for letting me know!

excited. i'm going to be spending most of friday working on the bike from home waterproofing so i will make it out there. i've got new rotors, pads, brake lines, and cables ready to be installed saturday. hopefully i will do the carb sync saturday as well

Soooooooooo, called up the suzuki dealer today to see what's up with my master cylinder rebuild kit, and I'm told "Well, suzuki is pretty slow. Looks like we won't have it in until maybe wednesday or thursday next week" T_T

Unless you guys want to help me shave my seat or finish the safety wire on my baby ninja, looks like I'm not going to have much to do. But I guess I'll try to visit anyways -_-

1) I have no gear with me
2) the only pants I have are my cammies, which I'm not supposed to wear out in town.
3) I just told a Jr Marine she couldn't get a rental to leave and go home for the weekend.
4) your bike doesn't have a back seat.

Id love to be there... but I'll have to wait for next time.

Sorry guys, I'm out for today afterall :/ My ninja was plagued with some manner of electrical problems yesterday (According to the internet, the symptoms to the T point to a bad battery coupled with my already loose connection), and I need to take the time to figure out how to fix it right before my next trackday in two weeks. My 250 is still my everything, so fooling around with the SV is considerably less important to me right now. I'll try to catch the next one

Okay!

So, I received and installed the new front turn signals. They look great and were an easy install. Well here's the situation. My Right side Back blinker bulb is burnt out, so I took the bulb out and am waiting for a new one. The Left Back blinker is fine. After connecting and wiring the new Front blinkers I went to try both sides. Clicked it over to the right and it worked great. However this wasn't the case with the left. When I went to click the left on it would barely light up, wouldn't blink and the relay sounded like it was croaking. I disconnected the front blinker and turned it on again and it worked fine. So, I decided to try the good bulb on the right to make sure it wasn't a wiring problem on the left. It did the same thing on the right. Anyone know what it could be? The front blinkers are aftermarket but say universal. Please let me know what you got. Thanks!

chad, the bulb is the wrong current. you need to change the bulb, or change your flasher because they aren't compatible. there are other ways but thats the simplest answer

You mean the new signal bulbs? Or the rear OEM signal bulbs?
