A friend had a hemp jacket (not sure of the brand). He said it has decent airflow. No crash report.

I had the Reactor 2.0 and the mesh does flow airflow very well. However, I wouldn't suggest black since it'll absorb all that heat from the sun.

As for crash report, a car turned left while I was going straight (claiming they didn't see me, of course) and I did have some road rash in the mesh parts of the jacket.

With that said, I wear a Dianese Race Jacket now for the added protection cause crashes suck.

Thanks all crashes suck for sure. Thinking of going leather for sure. My second concern is comfort, I am fat and sweaty and I am planning on commuting to work whenever its nice out 25 miles each way.

You should wear full leathers all the time. You'll still be sweaty but you'll lose weight.

Yeah leathers it is, so i get right the size for summer, I sweat and lose weight, then javket fits very loose and I can use same jacket in the cold since I can now bundle up. Brilliant!

Pretty much settled on the radar from Joe Rocket leather.

Winston from Connecticut.

How about the pro street from joe rocket? Closeouts got it at $180 seems like good posibility, style is a little quirky but as long as it protects well and vents well...

Been riding with the Joe Rocket Hemp jacket for about two years. Held up nicely when I went down and hit my right shoulder. A few stitches put it back together. It is not waterproof. The best part is the inner zipper that has mesh which allows good airflow, even with a double bubble on my 08. Just got a Dianese Zen Evo to replace it however.

I have the Joe Rocket Radar Dark (All black with no speed hump) and you can't go wrong. The mesh parts on the arms, stomach and armpits help a lot and I find myself wearing it in the summer a lot. My only complaint is that I got a size too big so it's a bit baggy on me because I'm skinny, thinking about listing it in the marketplace soon so I can order one a size smaller.
