Switched to team Yamaha

I made the mistake of spending too much time looking at bikes online and one thing led to another before this happend.

Got the FZ07 used for $5300 plus taxes. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Only 2k on it. I considered a Ducati Monster 696/797 or a Street Triple but the prices on those just weren't right for me. I would have had to get an 09 or something. The 2015 FZ07 made too much sense.

I was attracted to the FZ07 cause it has a lot of the qualities I like in the Ninja 250. Light weight and manuverable. Low seat height. Somewhat revvy engine (not as much as the ninja). Reliable and affordable without absurd power.

I've only had the bike 1 day but the torque is fun, the bike handles great and I love the dash. Not so crazy about the lack of a fairing on the highway but I'll adjust. I think the FZ07 is a great bike for a Ninja rider who wants a middle weight bike. I'm still glad I got the Ninja first though.

You'll still see me here cause this board is too good to quit.

And oh yeah props to @subxero for bringing his trailer to help me haul this beauty home.

Beautiful bike. Great deal!!!! Where did you find the bike. Surely, it wasn't at the dealerships, right? I can't find any used FZ in Jersey. When I test rode the 07, one thing bothered me. When I put my foot down, the pegs are right there! Maybe it's just my weird body configuration, but have you noticed that at all?

I found it on Craigslist. I saw the ad JUST after the guy posted it and told him I wanted the bike pending a test ride. The orginal owner was moving from PA to Colorado so he needed to give rid of it.

I totally know what you mean about the pegs! They always feel in the way with my feet down. I think Ninja 250 pegs must be further back and these FZ07 pegs are where a Ninja 250 rider is used to standing. Either I'll get used to it or move the pegs back someday.

Excellent choice. Yamaha is much more reliable than ducati. So it's a good thing you went with them.
Have fun and stay safe!

You abandoned Team Green?

Seriously, though, nice ride. I liked the bike when I rode it at a Yamaha demo day.

Do stick around. I did... this is one of the better online communities.

Awe man! I test rode one yesterday such an awesome bike! I felt like it actually handled better than the FZ09 and it has so much more torque down low than my FZ6.

I think your really going to enjoy it!

That's a great price! Nice find! I'd like to test ride one someday. I love the sound they make with an aftermarket exhaust.
