My ZZR250 RAT BIKE
This is my bike, if you don't like rats then now's a good time to look away (and probably ask yourself why you clicked a thread with this title :P).
It's most of a 1990 zzr that had been dumped in a pub garden under a load of rubbish for about 3 years if I recall correctly. I put it back on the road for little or no money and have spent the last year or so riding every day all around the UK and touring over in Europe Some stuff about it: Engine: 2011 EX250 motor converted to run carbs. Rear shock: extended to increase ground clearance. Subframe: made from 1" steel box section with dutch numberplate as side cover. Seat: Alloy with sponge gaffertaped to it. Tyres: BT45 Front GT201 rear. Rear light: Old torch I was given by a mate. Indicators: £1 LED strips from ebay. Speedo: Honda CB450(?) Highway bars: Branch I pulled off a tree in Germany. Exhaust: Stainless EX250, extended to fit. End can: Home made Z-flow. Airbox: Old plastic sandwich tub with mesh from an old fan and standard oil soaked foam to avoid rejetting. Headlight: Unknown 1960's unit, side mounted to allow more luggage to be loaded onto forks. Sidestand: 1" box with piston on end to stop it sinking in soft mud. Expension tank: Old mountain dew bottle as the old one was too dirty to see the level inside. Weird artwork/stencils by my friend Doodle Stefan. Handle bar conversion: Quad bike risers fitted by drilling 2 holes in top yoke. Top speed: Unknown IMG_1485.jpg IMG_1483.jpg IMG_1482.jpg IMG_1473.jpg IMG_1474.jpg IMG_1475.jpg IMG_1476.jpg IMG_1479.jpg IMG_1484.jpg And that's my trusty steed. I ride it everywhere and it never fails to make me smile and get me where I want to be. |

Thanks man, I did a walk-around video a while back where I just chatted about the various things on the bike and how they came to be, sadly it was a bit windy and it ruined a lot of the sound :-/
But I can still up it if it's of interest? |

Anyway it was laying there on the floor, and we attached it to the bike. To serve two purposes, firstly to remind me of a cool place & time and secondly to creep everyone out |

I like it! What's up with the rear wheel? Some kind of sign that's been welded over the spokes???

Yeah everything works just fine. Mechanically it's very well maintained beneath all the junk and weirdness. Not since I found the dead fish my "mates" hid on top of the engine. :P |
