Where dispose bad gas in North NJ?
My bike wont start after i left it in several rain storms. I tried draining the carbs, then priming them, that didnt do it. I threw in seafoam, that didn't do it either. I picked up a can of starter fluid, i will try that as well, but im starting to think i'll likely need to drain the tank. It had stuttered like it wanted to start before i had drained the carbs but now it wont even do that, just cranks, so i recharged the battery to be prepared for the starter fluid, tank drain test. Where can i drop this old gas off that probably has water in it? I looked all over, and found town sponsored recycling events, but the next one near me isnt until october, and i can't have that stuff sitting around in my apartment. Anybody have any ideas?

Put it in plastic bottles, if it has water in it you'll see it seperate.
Simply decant the water out, and add the remaining gas to top up your tank after you fill up in about a 1/20 ratio, till you've gone throu about ten tanks you'll have gotten rid of all the fuel. Be sure to pass it through a filter first, a fuel line filter will cost about $1 and the same for some tube. Alternately, know anybody with a petrol lawnmower? Perfect for the lawnmower or other less fussy / expensive engines. |

Dumping some rubbing alcohol in the tank usually takes care of it unless its horribly contaminated.

I have the same issue w/ my lawnmower, I simply drain the carbs until clean gas comes out instead of water.Water is heavier and will drain out first.
